The Secret Rapture cemented Hare’s reputation as one of the country’s greatest playwrights. This drama, rich in social criticism, follows the life of one family after the death of their father. Discover the work of this great playwright, as part of The David Hare Season.
A family and a servant all live together by the sea but nothing seems to exist outside this. Each character is challenged by a different physical boundary. Explore another of Beckett’s classics, whilst Happy Days plays in the Studio Theatre.

Summer Schools 2011 Two fantastic weeks offering adults and young people the chance to make, share and perform.
Week 1: The Principles of Making Theatre (Age 12+)
Week 2: Staging New Work (Age 12+)

No previous experience necessary.
Work with a professional director and experienced voice and movement artists to rehearse and stage new short plays. This course is also open to those who would like to develop technical theatre skills in lighting and stage management. The week will end in a public première of four short plays in the Studio Theatre.
A fun and inspiring week exploring character, text and movement for the stage with a team of experienced theatre professionals. Develop your acting and performance skills through imagination, play and teamwork. The week ends in an informal performance for invited friends and family.
