in this issue For the the 2019-2020 school year, the Street Style team has set out to capture some of the most sensational outfits on campus by shooting what Michigan does best: game days. Immersing ourselves in the lively atmosphere of game days and sharing conversations with campus, our team discovered some of the most innovative approaches to how students define their own style, while also enabling the shared, ubiquitous identity of maize and blue. From fanny packs to two-piece suits, each outfit showcased students’ individual style and personality, all while representing the team they know best. With the kickoff of Game Day-themed street style issues, we hope to illustrate the truly unique, spirited dress that fills Hill St. to Michigan Stadium every so weekend in autumn. — Lucy Carpenter, Street Style Editor
