The Montego Bay Conference Centre (MBCC) is the largest convention facility of its sort in the Englishspeaking Caribbean, located along the exquisite Rose Hall corridor in Montego Bay (Half Moon Montego Bay, Jamaica). It has a total of 139,302 square feet of indoor event space (meeting, exposition, and ballroom) and outdoor event space (the 17,000-square-foot Ocean View Terrace and the 25,000-square-foot plaza). The MBCC was built in 2011 by the Jamaican government in collaboration with the Chinese Development Bank. The transfer of ownership of the MBCC from the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) to the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Finance and Public Service was authorized by Cabinet in 2016. The MBCC has won the World Travel Award many times for being the Caribbean's Leading Meetings and Conference Centre. SMG, a known global industry leader in venue management, marketing, and development, is in charge of the project.
