Embrace the Outdoors – Southern Style June 2018

Official News from the City of Pelham, Alabama

Summer activities for your family The first three of our four children were born in less than five years, and I remember thinking I’d go stir crazy if I couldn’t figure a way to get them all out of the house and do something, anything that would allow them to get out their energy and be stimulated by something other than what me or Barney episodes or the well-worn videotape of the Lion King - yes, it was a tape you placed in something called a video cassette recorder or VCR. However, all three were born in Buffalo, New York, and it’s safe to say about seven months out of the year it was too cold to take small children and infants outside. Thank God for our community’s

public library. These are your facilities and parks, and we plan and schedule based on the needs of the community. Thank you for helping us take care of these facilities. See you out at the parks.
