When we downsized a couple of years ago, we made a conscious decision to stay within the city limits of Mountain Brook because of its superior city services. There is peace of mind knowing that we enjoy top notch fire and rescue and police protection in addition to fantastic parks and walking trails.

I grew up in Abingdon and have lived almost my entire life in that peaceful, almost country-like area of Mountain Brook. Although our downsizing caused us to move from Abingdon a couple of years ago, it will always be what I consider home.

The Bromberg Christmas Tree

The tree is our way of saying thank you to the community that has allowed Bromberg’s to a part of countless happy occasions for 185 years. It genuinely pleases me that so many people love our tree and are able to count on it as a cherished Christmas tradition.

Generational Tradition

I love that so many kids come back to where they grew up to start families of their own and at the same time how the community welcomes new people! Mountain Brook is a great place to live with a wonderful quality of life. In the photo you can see my grandmother Annie Maud Bromberg with me in the early 1960s.
