A panel of successful business owners and entrepreneurs will share their thoughts for how to start and grow a successful business. Topics discussed include:

Melissa Dixon is CDI Janitorial’s Vice President. Melissa has a master’s degree in education and is a retired educator. She chose to retire from teaching after more than 25 years and put her abilities to their business. Melissa is very hands-on, ensuring that every detail with clients is satisfied. August 30 Community Luncheon - State of Our Schools throughout Shelby County

The Chamber’s August Community Luncheon, which is hosted by the Chamber’s Career Readiness Work Group, is scheduled to feature presentations from Alabaster City Schools, Hoover City Schools, Pelham City Schools and Shelby County Schools during the annual “State of Schools Throughout Shelby County.”

The Community Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 30

in the banquet hall at the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena. Doors will open at 11 a.m. for business networking, and the program will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m.

Organizations engaged in educational programs and activities are invited to participate in the showcase feature. Contact the Chamber with questions or for more details on availability for a

showcase table at 205-663-4542.

The investment is $20 per person for Shelby Chamber investors or $30 per person for “future” investors. Price of admission includes lunch.
