June 13 Job Fair Scheduled to Connect Shelby County Full-Time Job Seekers of all Ages and Companies

58 INC, Shelby County’s Economic Development Corporation, the Alabama Career Center of Alabaster and The Shelby County Chamber are partnering on a job fair slated for June 13.

The Shelby County Job Fair will be conducted on Tuesday, June 13 from 3-7 p.m. at Jefferson State Community College’s Shelby-Hoover campus in room 129 of The Judy Merritt Building. This job fair will allow Shelby County job seekers and companies to network.

There is no cost for employers or job seekers to participate in this job fair. Registration for companies is required and is limited to only companies hiring full-time, permanent positions. To register

for the job fair, companies are asked to contact Karen Williams at The Shelby County Chamber at karen@shelbychamber.org for a link to the registration form.

Employment seekers do not need to register for the event, but they should bring resumes and other materials to help with their employment search. Full-time job seekers of all ages are welcome to explore the exciting possibilities available with Shelby County businesses.

Manager of the Alabaster Career Center, Tara Seaborn, said, “The job market is hot right now, making this the perfect time to build your career. The Career Center offers several programs for employers and job seekers, so

we`re excited to co-host this Shelby County Job Fair.”

The Shelby County Chamber Celebrates Outstanding Healthcare Professionals

Shelby County’s leading healthcare professionals will be recognized at The Shelby County Chamber’s ninth annual “Healthcare Professional of the Year” luncheon. The luncheon program is scheduled for June 28 from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. at The Pelham Civic

Complex (500 Amphitheater Rd, Pelham, AL 35124).

The Chamber is hosting this program to recognize those individuals who have made an outstanding contribution in healthcare throughout our county and municipalities. Any healthcare

professional employed in Shelby County was eligible to be nominated.

All nominees will be recognized at the luncheon, and the recipients in four categories including, “Heart of Healthcare,” “Committed to Community,” “Legacy of

Excellence” and “Healthcare Professional of the Year” will be announced.
