For over 20 years I have enjoyed laughing at the Stardome Comedy Club. In December I would always get excited when my cellphone would ring and I saw a 444-number because I knew it was my annual call to come celebrate my birthday along with 11 of my friends. Whether I’m seeing a well-known comedian or one who is an up-and-coming local, I can truly say I am never disappointed when I visit the Comedy Club. Bruce and his staff are great!

When my mother and I moved to Hoover, we immediately connected with neighbors who welcomed us with open arms. In Reilly Glen in Deer Valley, it’s not uncommon to get a knock on the door with one of our awesome neighbors just dropping by to chat for a few minutes or to share a plate from a meal they have prepared. Our little community is a great combination of senior citizens, young married couples, young couples with kids, retirees and middle aged folks.

I truly enjoy serving with Hoover Cop Stop and our once-a-month fellowship to meet some awesome men and women who are dedicated to protecting our city as well as awesome Hoover residents that I now call friends.

Long before I became a Hoover resident, I would often visit Hoover Public Library. I would pick out 10-12 romance, fiction and mystery novels and happily present them at the check-out desk in pre-self-checkout times. I love to read!
