Striking architecture, geared toward young professionals, artists and students. Three colonias make up this borough.
Mexico City is located just south of the center of Mexico, equadistant from the Gulf and the Pacific. The rich cultural history of this city is apparent by the ruins that still infill the busy streets of modern life. San Miguel Teotongo is located east outside of the city center just on the edge of the CDMX city limits. It is an informal settelment on the edge of a volcano where the cultural and artistic expressions take on a new form and can be interprutted by this project.

Mexico City is a hub of cultural activity. The boroughs each have their own signature on the architecture, landscape and expression. Throughout the trip to Mexico City I documented the city as a sign, examining the amentities and celebrations of expression and art around the city, which are then used as precedents for my urban design analysis. The city tells its story through its art and by using the colorful gestures painted along the walls, in tile patterns, as decorative elements of buildings and in homes of those who live there.
