Huskie Safe Line, a free shuttle service for students, faculty and community members with disabilities, has incorporated different stops into its north and south routes. NIU Sgt. Joe Przybyla said the goal of the revised routes is to save resources by not stopping at places that were not being utilized and shorten wait times, according to an NIU Today news release. Passengers can ride the shuttle by waiting at a Huskie Safe Line sign and present an NIU One Card or an Illinois Person with a Disability Identification Card. Huskie Safe Line shuttles run between 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. North route shuttles will run approximately every 17 minutes while south route shuttles will run approximately every 16 minutes. The schedule is as follows:
• Spiros Court and Hillcrest Drive • Aspen and Hillcrest drives • 875 Fotis Drive • 735 Fotis Drive • 770 Regent Drive • 1212 Varsity Blvd. • 930 Pappas Drive • 910 Hillcrest Drive • Greenbrier and Normal roads • Greenbrier and Russell roads • New Hall West (as needed) • Holmes Student Center
