Cultivating the perfect outfit for the Fourth of July is tricky, but one thing that is for sure is that you can never wear too much themed attire— stars, stripes and patriotic colors. When you’re thinking about Fourth of July this year, the first thing to ask yourself is, “where am I going?” Since, we already know that halter tops, printed shorts and shift dresses are in style this summer, searching for those trends for your Fourth of July occasion is the next step.

Pool Party Halter swim tops are really popular with women this summer. They have a flattering neckline that goes to the top of the collar bone and crop right below your rib cage. A blue tie die swim top would be the perfect choice for a pool party before fireworks. Tie-dye is a popular trend this summer and would be a perfect staple for a pool party.
Cookout Going to a cookout is typically casual, but wearing a few patriotic pieces will really bring the food-filled day to life. For a cookout, you could wear a shift dress. This is a great option — especially if you’ll be in and out of the pool and you need something to throw on quickly. What’s great about this piece is that you can find it in all different types of patterns for the holiday, creating a patriotic look for the day. Fireworks At night, it’s bound to get more chilly and you’re going to want to sport a more warmer look. I recommend wearing a jean jacket, cardigan or light weight scarf — depending on the weather.
