DeKalb | Campus Activities Board will hold 90s Tribute Show Part Two at midnight Thursday. The show will feature music, fashion, television, film, and more from the 90s in the Holmes Student Center, Carl Sandburg Auditorium. Randiss Hopkins, senior jazz performance and community leadership and civic engagement major, said he started this event because he wanted to bring back moments in time that students may never get back. “This was a way to unite students to be a part of something that wasn’t a competition, but something much bigger than themselves where they had to work together for months, establishing relationships and bonds with one another that transcends far beyond the show itself,” Hopkins said. Hopkins has coordinated many tribute shows at NIU during the past few years. The first tribute show was dedicated to the legacy of Michael Jackson in 2013, and he unveiled the first 90’s Tribute Show last year. “I enjoyed getting to know the student performers and watching them develop on an individual level and as a cohesive group,” Hopkins said. “I hope students leave the show feeling like they were able to relive some of their childhood moments.
