In this issue of Shell World Philippines magazine, Shell showcases its numerous projects that impact millions around the country.

One of the major features in this issue will make you appreciate how young engineering students from all over Asia Pacific displayed their ability in designing and building energy efficient cars that saw action on the tracks of the 2015 Shell Ecomarathon Asia which was the second successful run of SEM Asia in Manila. More than recognition, the students obtained knowledge and experience which helped ignite their interest in creating a better energy future in face of rising energy challenge. Envisioned to further help boost economic potential of Visayas and Mindanao, Shell is completing its landmark project in Cagayan de Oro called North Mindanao Import Facility – a multi-billion peso fuel facility which will cater to the power and energy needs of millions of residents and industries in the area. Shell in the Philippines also continues to fortify its position as a significant contributor to Shell’s global business with the outstanding performance of Shell Business Operations (SBO) – Manila. With close to 3,500 employees, SBO-Manila has gone a long way after more than a decade of delivering first class service and partnership to throngs of satisfied customers worldwide. Meanwhile, Shell Aviation in the Philippines continues to build a winning spirit across the global organisation with its relentless pursuit for improved performance by delivering exemplary practices in safety and operational excellence that were globally recognised. In this issue, we also feature how Shell finds ways to provide excellent customer experience in every gas up. The Shell FuelSave story tells the story of how motorists do more in their everyday life by choosing the right fuel for their vehicles and make every road experience better. Always aiming for excellence, Shell harvested numerous awards from prestigious award-giving organisations here and abroad for delivering best practices in communications and public relations. These achievements made Shell’s centennial celebration sparkle and strengthened Shell’s reputation as a top business communicator and a strong supporter of nation building. Continuing its legacy of nation building, Shell continuously invests on various community development projects to ensure that its next 100 years remains a story of success not just for Shell but for communities where it operates. Lastly, I wish to bid goodbye to all of you and say thanks for all the support you have given me and your CX/ER department. It has been a memorable three years and I will forever be proud and humbled at the same time for the chance to work with Shell locally, regionally, and globally. 5000 for both truck and barge loading, and a control room with telemetering system. “This is the first import facility for Shell in the country,” said NMIF Project Manager Marlon Dejadina. “NMIF lives up to being a world-class facility with its fullyautomated process from jetty loading to the tank loading using OMEGA 5000,” he added. Facility specifications show that it will use 16” and 18” pipelines for its products and 24” pipelines for its firewater system. NMIF is considered the most advanced in the East, and the first medium range vessel import facility in Shell’s Trading and Supply network. Despite the daunting scale of the project, challenges encountered in the early stage were addressed efficiently by the Shell team behind this project. Constant dialogue with leaders of the surrounding communities ensured a smooth ground-breaking ceremony for the project and continuous project operations. Delays due to non-technical risks, such as protests from the informal settlers and objections from the local government, were mitigated with peaceful negotiations and engagements. PUSHING FOR ENERGY SECURITY NMIF is aligned with the policy thrust of the Department of Energy (DoE) to promote investment in the energy sector. It promises to contribute to two of DoE’s directives under the Philippine Development Plan 2011-2016, which are to promote development and upgrade of the downstream infrastructure and to update the Oil Supply Contingency Plan through the establishment of oil stockpiles. Moreover, the facility will enable Shell to import Euro IV-compliant fuels by January 2016. The NMIF aims to provide an additional source point for fuels which will be distributed to depots in the Visayas and Mindanao. The facility will contribute to increased security of energy supply as it will provide additional storage capacity of finished petroleum products. At the same time, the facility will help reduce maritime risks as the source of petroleum products is closer to the intended distribution
points.The strategic location of Cagayan de Oro (CDO), being centrally-located in Visayas and Mindanao, continues to attract investors, making it a prime investment destination. It is the melting pot of Mindanao because of its accessibility, business growth, and tourism potential. Through the years, CDO has risen to become one of the most progressive and competitive cities in the country. While CDO shows promise in being one of fastest growing provinces, it is also a cradle of sustainable progress for Visayas and Mindanao as Shell Philippines builds NMIF today for a more sustainable energy future. WORKING FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE The NMIF project has been reaping both internal and external recognition for delivering a sterling record on safety performance. It bagged an Award of Merit from the Safety Organization of the Philippines during its 47th National Industry Safety Convention themed “Facing Challenges: Gaining from Experiences” for achieving 1 million safe man-hours without
lost time accident (LTA). The convention aimed to motivate industries to prevail over occupational safety and health challenges by sharing best practices and strengthening the advocacy of a healthy and safe work environment. The project also bagged two Shell Global awards, namely the 2014 Trading and Supply Executive Vice President (EVP) Award and the Excellence Every Day VP Award. These awards recognise outstanding safety milestones as well as breakthrough performances that individuals and teams make across the business. For the inaugural Trading & Supply Award programme, only 12 winners were named from over 80 nominations. Despite having 800 work force in a complex and challenging environment, NMIF has achieved a sterling safety performance with close to 2 million man-hours lost time injury-free to date. The NMIF Team is committed to pursuing an injury-free and safe environment by continuously improving safety programmes to encourage employees and contractors to take safety personally. SWP

Shell Aviation Philippines receives consecutive awards for outstanding safety performance.
I
n the recent years, Shell Aviation Philippines has been earning recognition and awards for its outstanding safety and operational performance. Today, it is globally recognised for delivering world-class service to its growing number of customers, owing to its commitment to excellence reflected in all aspects of its operations. Recently, Shell Aviation Philippines was recognised with the Vice President (VP) Awards for its excellence in safety compliance and value delivery to the company. The VP Awards, which is given on a quarterly basis, aims to highlight the best and noteworthy examples of special contributions to the company. This year, the Global Shell Aviation (SAV) cited the Philippine team with second quarter (Q2) VP Awards on HSSE and Value Delivery.
Aviation Philippines received is the Value Delivery on improved margins in Q2. Through the collective effort of the team, they were able to bring the business to a higher ground – performing excellently in terms of better delivery of business targets. According to Shell Aviation Philippines Operations Manager Melchor “Jun” Abina, Jr., they were able to achieve such feat through the support of Aviation Operations, all in a sustained level of operational excellence of into-plane operations. Following highest standards in a day in-day out basis, Shell Aviation Philippines was able to gain the trust of airlines, which helped in their renewal of contracts in Manila airport for the second quarter of 2014. The win brought additional C4 margins of US$8.6 million annually.

SAFETY IS ON TOP OF EVERYTHING In June 2014, the SAV PH team recorded 1,000 days of no harm to people and no leaks in their operations. A testament to Shell’s focus and efforts for its Goal Zero journey, Shell Aviation Philippines was cited for achieving 1,000 Days of Goal Zero. The team’s proactive Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) thinking went hand in hand with their top safety performance. Do it to comply with the standard process and the staff will become complacent. Complacence means danger – it is critical to always put our minds on the work and not work on it in a robot-like process. The secret here is to always think of the lives – yours and your colleagues and the people around you – that will be at risk if you become complacent with safety,” said Abina. SHELL AVIATION PHILIPPINES AT A GLANCE The Shell Aviation Philippines is located at the Joint Oil Companies Aviation Fuel Storage Plant (JOCASP) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) passenger terminal 1, and adjacent on the other side with the terminal 2 building. The primary role of Shell Aviation operations team is to ensure meeting of delivery objectives and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) in line with its main business of providing into plane fuelling services safely and delivering on-time and onspecs products to customer for both domestic and international customers. SAV PH products,
which are delivered from the Shell Terminals (Tabangao/ Pandacan) to JOCASP via road bridgers, are cleared into plane refuelling after their necessary certificates and safety processes are completed. There are three options to refuel a plane: first is using a refueller truck; the second one is refuelling using a hydrant dispenser; and the last is refuelling using a combination of both processes. The first process of refuelling, using a refueller truck, is utilised on aircraft parking bays with non-operational hydrant lines or no hydrant system. The operations team employs this refuelling process for aircrafts that require minimal quantity of fuel. However, if the aircraft parking bay has an operational hydrant system, the hydrant dispenser is used instead. For any aircraft that requires large quantity of fuel, the tandem of hydrant dispenser and bridger truck refuelling is opted by the operations team. As of August 2014, Shell Aviation Philippines has an average throughput of 923 kilo litres per day (klpd) in NAIA and 49 klpd in Clark, Pampanga. Every month, SAV PH refuels its airline customers with an average of 28.0 million litres and 1.5 million litres in
NAIA and Clark, respectively. In its years of operation, Shell Aviation Philippines is consistently delivering effectively to its airline customers. Because of the team’s reliable performance, it was able to win huge accounts and continuously earn the trust of various airline customers such as Philippine Airlines, Korean Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Japan Airlines/Jet Star Japan, Jet Star Asia and Jet Star International, All Nippon Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Qantas Airways, China Eastern, Air China, China Airlines, Capiteq (Air North), Phil Air Asia, Air Asia Malaysia, Asiana Airlines, Virgin Australia, Lufthansa Airline, and other ad hoc customers. With all the internal and global achievements that the Shell Aviation Philippines is receiving, Abina does not forget to give credits to his team. “These awards wouldn’t be possible without the whole SAV PH Team’s relentless pursuit for operational excellence in both HSSE as well as in partnering with our Sales and BD Teams in growing the Aviation business in the Philippines. hen Shell Business Operations (SBO) - Manila was established 11 years ago, who would ever thought that a mere 49 staff who worked their way in servicing a small number of onshore business partners and stakeholders would pave the way for a stronger and now globally recognised organisation? Now standing proud and successful with around 3,500 employees, SBO-Manila has gone a long way after more than a decade of continued global excellence and commitment to first class service and partnership. 8 I SHELL WORLD PHILIPPINES
“It was not an easy trek, though the odds were pretty clear at the start. Definitely, it was not a moment that we can easily call the shot at one glance,” said Edralin Payongayong, Shell Business Operations General Manager for the Manila Centre. “The employees who started and worked their way in ensuring that business continuity and operations were not disrupted especially during the critical migration phase were significant and instrumental to the success of the Centre. There have been many critical and challenging times, but I can assure you that these challenging times played an
important role for us to see which part of our operations we need to improve more and determine which ones our teams are stronger at. On the other hand, and more than anything else, I marvel on the many good times that we all shared which energised us to make the Centre successful as it is today,” he added. MANILA MADE THE CUT Manila was not the lone choice when the time for selecting the right location came for Shell to establish its first Shell Shared Service Centre. It was the company’s first venture into the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)
industry, and the stakes were high. “When the team came to the Philippines, we knew that they have pretty much settled down with one location and that was not Manila,” said Edgar Chua, Shell companies in the Philippines Country Chairman. “We were told that since they were already in Asia, the team decided to make a side trip to the Philippines. We met with them, we showed them what the Filipinos are capable of achieving, and the rest is what we now see as a globally recognised Shell Business Operations Centre based in Manila,” Chua enthused with pride. FACT OR FICTION A study released by Edelman Berland in December 2014 uncovers the extraordinary lengths Filipinos are willing to

The Shell FuelSave Fact or Fiction report, which analyses the driving behaviours of 1,000 Filipino drivers aged 18 to 40, reveals that while 92% see being fuel efficient as important, 75% admit they don’t know how. What’s even more interesting is that more than half or 53% of the drivers surveyed say they feel anxious trying to decide how best to save fuel, leading many to believe in a collection of absurd fuel saving myths. The research shows 80% of drivers believe warming up their engine before setting off will make them more fuel efficient, while 57% think filling up at night does the same trick. Shockingly, nearly half or 45% even believe ‘burping’ their cars to release air pockets in the tank will help them save fuel.
Unfortunately for the majority of the country’s driving population, none of these fuel efficiency myths help in reducing fuel costs. Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation Vice President for Retail Anthony Lawrence Yam commented, “The Shell FuelSave Fact or Fiction Report shows just how important saving fuel has become to motorists, along with the incredible ways they try to be more fuel efficient. Some of the beliefs revealed through the study were actually wasting fuel rather than helping to conserve it.” To help drivers differentiate fact from fiction, Shell aims to turn myth followers into fuel efficiency pros by encouraging drivers to use Shell FuelSave fuels that are scientifically designed to last longer and by demonstrating more effective ways to drive smartly.
The report also reveals that the confusion on the road is in stark contrast to what goes on inside Filipino homes, where Filipinos conserve energy by limiting their electrical use but not their fuel consumption. Indeed, while 88% of people say they frequently turn off the lights to save energy when leaving the house, only 4 in 10 or 42% frequently remove excess weight from their boot or backseat to make their vehicles lighter and effectively helping drivers to save on fuel. A CHALLENGE FOR FUEL EFFICIENCY A prelude to 2015 Shell Ecomarathon Asia was the Shell FuelSave Fact or Fiction Driving Challenge held last February 11 where television personality Bianca Gonzalez was crowned as Shell FuelSave Celebrity Driver of the Year for the second year. She drove a 130 kilometre route together with brilliant young minds to discover which driving practices are proven to help save fuel. Gonzalez faced the challenge with select media representatives who attempted to outwit their opponents on a road trip from Manila to Subic learning the difference between fuel efficiency facts and myths as they go through pit stops with challenges along the route. Inspired by the success of the celebrity driving challenge, a challenge among Shell staff was held where one representative per business unit was chosen to act as ‘ambassador” for fuel efficiency and was in charge of recruiting team members. Three teams with four members from Shell Philippines Exploration, B.V. (SPEX), Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation (PSPC) and Shell Business Operations (SBO) went

The whole-day activity was officially kicked off with a briefing of the teams, followed by their initial top-up and challenge in the first pit stop. The three team challengers immediately set out for their long, challenge-filled drive, keeping in mind lessons on fuel efficiency. YOUTH INGENUITY FOR A BETTER ENERGY FUTURE As Manila once again opened its doors for the Asian leg of the Shell Ecomarathon, engineering students all over Asia Pacific took home more than just recognition but a wealth of knowledge and experience in facing the energy challenge. undreds of great and young engineering minds across Asia set forth towards the race for ingenuity. The Shell Eco-marathon Asia (SEMA) once again pooled together aspiring leaders of innovation to take on the challenge of smarter mobility. In its 30th year globally and 6th Asian-leg edition, Manila successfully welcomed, for the second time around, more than 120 student-teams from 17 countries all over Asia. Prototype and urban concept student-built cars were showcased and designed to run the farthest distance with the least amount of fuel used. Being the host country for this grand festivity, the Philippines had 29 student teams coming from 21 universities nationwide. “I’m proud to see more teams and nations joining the Shell Eco-marathon family this year. It’s very impressive that new starters from countries like Australia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bangladesh have made successful runs and recorded results in their first year, and I look forward to welcoming more newcomers in the next edition,” said Shell Eco-marathon Technical Director Norman Koch.
While SEMA ultimately tests the fuel efficiency of the innovative vehicles, the underlying message of the event is enjoining the youth to collaborate towards a single goal – shaping the future of energy and mobility.
Malaysia’s Team UiTM EcoSprint from Universiti Teknologi Mara Shah Alam surpassed last year’s record by driving an equivalent of 315 km/m3 for the Hydrogren Fuel Cell category.
Participants witnessed as three teams broke records under the Protoype category. Japan’s Clean Diesel Team from Hyogo Prefectural Tajima Technical Institute drove 1,165 km/l equivalent on their first run, outdoing last year’s 717.6 km/l for the Diesel category. Thailand’s Team NSTRU EcoRacing from Si Thammarat Rajabhat University also set the bar higher as they achieved 451 km/kWh for the Battery Electric Category. Lastly,

Another team which achieved the highest mileage for the Gasoline (Prototype) category was the De La Salle University (DLSU) Eco Car Team. Apart from these impressive records, the Shell Helix Tribology Award was given to Team TIP Mileage Proto from Technological Institute of the Philippines for their clever use of lubrication engineering principles. BEYOND RECOGNITION AND PRESTIGE Sharing mutual passion in shaping the fuel efficiency landscape, the teams believed that SEMA was more of a learning experience than a competition. Everyone’s a winner, regardless if they received an award or not, since what they consider more important was working together to address the global energy challenge. 16 I SHELL WORLD PHILIPPINES
“It’s not just all about competition, but about shared knowledge as well,” said driver and leader of Team Alfaisal from Alfaisal University, Saudi Arabia Abdulmoshin Albabtain. “Several teams came to help us as we experienced challenges along the way. It was all for one and one for all.” Aside from being a platform for healthy competition, it was a venue for youth empowerment which opened opportunities for discussion on energy security and sustainable mobility. “The biggest contribution of Shell Eco-marathon is the production of 10,000 skilled and motivated students each year who take with them a wealth of knowledge and experience that they can use in the workplace. And it is not only limited to technical knowledge,” said Koch.
EXPERIENCING INNOVATION With this year’s huge turnout of over 47,000 attendees, SEMA served as a huge stage to celebrate bright young minds and engage the public about fuel efficiency and smarter mobility. “Shell Eco-marathon is a crucible of innovation. A place where good ideas on energy efficiency and smart design can get their first real-world trials. Maybe one of these students will go on to design the car of the future,” said Shell’s Chief Human Resources and Corporate Officer Hugh Mitchell. Apart from the street circuit challenge, SEMA showcased a “fan zone”, an interactive attraction where participants were taught the significance of taking responsibility in safeguarding the world’s resources and adopting fuel efficient habits.

RISING FROM YOLANDA’S WRATH: SURVIVORS TELL TALES OF HOPE Typhoon Yolanda survivors express hope and optimism as they steadily recover from devastation with the relief and rehabilitation programmes implemented by companies like Shell. By Marah Villanueva

hen Typhoon Yolanda hit Tacloban, thousands of residents lost their homes and livelihood. Here are stories of victims who are steadily rising from the catastrophe with the help that Shell provided. Aling Lolita, 56, is a resident of Barangay 69, Anibong, Tacloban. She used to support her family of nine through dressmaking until Yolanda destroyed her livelihood. “Our home was completely washed away, everything was gone, but we were still thankful because at least we were all safe and alive,” she said. In the aftermath of Yolanda, Shell companies in the Philippines extended assistance to typhoon victims. Relief goods were distributed in November and December in 2013. Aling Lolita was one of the beneficiaries of Shell’s relief and rehabilitation efforts.

“We received rice, coffee and spaghetti, which we ate during our Noche Buena and Media Noche. We’re very thankful to Shell for their help, for giving us goods and supplies. Of course, we were very happy to know that there are many companies like Shell that help Yolanda victims,” Aling Lolita shared. Another beneficiary is Aling Remedios dela Cruz, 68, a salt farmer from Barangay 70 with a family of five. “Shell gave us canned goods, rice, and even clothes which really helped us in our daily living after Yolanda struck.”

distributed to fishermen who lost their means of livelihood. “The solar lamps will be very helpful in lighting our homes since we still do not have electricity,” said 28-year old Renato Likit, a resident of Barangay 70. Renato is a security guard in one of the establishments at their barangay. He lives with his wife and his daughter. Aside from the solar lamps he received, Renato is also a beneficiary of Shell’s work-forcash programme. “I thank Shell for helping our barangay. The solar lamps that they gave will be of great help most especially in the evening,” said Aling Hanah Jacson, 46, a mother with a family of six.
Aside from its relief distribution, work-for-cash programme, and distribution of boats and solar lamps, Shell will also provide support to the city and barangay relocation programmes for those living in the “no build” zone, through the Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc., the social development arm of Shell in the Philippines. Close to 200,000 beneficiaries benefit from various livelihood and disaster training programmes as well as from educational and disaster facilities built by Shell, which help in making lives better for Taclobanons. Although health formed part of the regular social development programme for Pandacan, it was not until 2004 when a more organised and holistic approach to promote the health of Pandacan residents was formed.
Since then, more than 4,000 residents have benefitted from programmes that range from medical and dental missions, TB DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment Short Course), skills training and upgrading programmes for Barangay Health Volunteers, Supplemental Feeding Programme benefiting schoolaged children, and awareness raising campaigns on wellness, dengue, cancer, responsible parenthood, renal health, and fire safety, among others. Other health promotion activities like good grooming,

PAMANA boasts of a robust network of partners that include the City of Manila Health Department, Department of Social Welfare and Development, PhilHealth, UNICEF, Philippine National Red Cross, Paibare Legacy, Inc., SC Johnson, Kalookan

In 2008, PAMANA was registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non-profit organisation. This means that PAMANA has its own set of by-laws, operating principles, and financial system. Between 2008 and 2014, PAMANA has been primed to operate independently of PSPC and PSFI. PAMANA officers and members now have the skills in managing the organisation and in planning, implementing, and monitoring its activities. “In the past two years, PAMANA has significantly stepped up its activities,” recounts PSFI Programme Manager Allan Gamo. “From only one or two activities in previous years, PAMANA activities are held almost monthly at present, and thus have become a
regular community event engaging both the partners and Pandacan residents simultaneously.” By 2015, PSFI will no longer be involved in the operational management of PAMANA, and, the programme will be completely handed over to the community. PAMANA President Catherine Gabriel says, “Through PAMANA, Pandacan residents now have better access to health information and services. Given the roster of partnerships we’ve forged through the years, there is no reason why the PAMANA Council should not be able to carry on with all the health activities that have been started.” PAMANA targets to conduct at least four services yearly, including medical and dental missions, and good grooming activities. he Malampaya offshore gas platform located on the West Philippine Sea may be a marvel of modern engineering, but none of the valuable natural gas makes its way to power plant customers without the men and women who work under potentially dangerous conditions to keep the platform operating. One of these modern-day Filipino heroes is Albert Emas, Operations Team Leader of the Malampaya offshore platform. Albert is described by his teammates and friends as a dependable, smart team leader and team player whose easygoing, down-to-earth, hardworking and positive attitude instantly earned the respect and trust of his colleagues in Shell Philippines Exploration B.V. SECRET TO SUCCESS Albert’s persevering attitude landed him different roles offshore. He became the Relief Operations Team Leader (OTL) onshore before going back offshore as OTL for Team A and finally as OTL for Team B. As OTL, Albert manages all operations activities—from the issuing of permits, frontline supervision to ensuring the steady production of the platform. When asked about the secret to his success, Albert said it’s simply never giving up. “No beginner becomes an expert right off the bat. From my experience, and I think this is true for everyone, listening to those more experienced than you is very important. You have to ask those questions and learn from your mistakes. Then, you have to show them that you’re not just in it for the ride—that you’re determined to continuously learn and improve, and make good contribution to the team.”

A FEAT FOR ALL The Shell Centennial Crystal Awards may be dubbed as a “Salute to Shell’s Top Performers”, but for Albert, it should be a salute to all in SPEX. “I got the award because of the team, not just offshore, but also the steadfast support we get from the onshore team. It’s really the whole SPEX team that won the award. To me, everyone in SPEX should be given a Crystal.” In his eight years in Shell, Albert has earned the admiration and respect of his colleagues across the organisation. He works smartly by balancing work and life. His principles, humility, hard work and great leadership in operations make him someone to watch for as he pursues greater heights in the future. SWP

Members of the Country Coordinating Team (CCT) led the launch of the Big Be Well campaign at all Shell worksites nationwide to encourage more employees to participate in wellness activities for a healthier lifestyle. It is a multipronged approach to enabling change in lifestyle among over 4,000 staff in Shell companies in the Philippines. Shell senior leaders led by Country Chairman Edgar Chua spearheaded the launch and joined the employees in the activities. REINFORCING WELLNESS Backed by strong partnership among Shell leaders and all business units, the Be Well campaign successfully enabled employees to take charge of their health by joining various health and wellness activities held at Shell worksites such as Luzon and VisMin outports, Shell House, Pandacan, Tabangao, SBO-Manila, SPEX Alabang Office including the Onshore Gas Plant and Shallow Water Platform, and Cebu Regional Office.

The strong support of Shell management in providing essential resources to sustain activities of employee clubs boosted participation among employees. A significant move by senior Shell leaders was their active participation in the Global Corporate Challenge (GCC), a programme strategically designed to boost the physical activities of employees. Three GCC groups from the Philippines are composed of Shell management team members. Close to 1,500 employees from Shell companies in the Philippines grouped themselves into 214 teams and took the challenge of achieving more than 10,000 steps each day. GCC involves a 16-week pedometer-based challenge that requires participants to monitor and record the steps they make each day. Across the Shell Group, Be Well Philippines ranked #1 in terms of employee participation in health activities. Through the Be Well programme, bewellcheck. com recorded that 97.1% of employees said that the activities helped them take more personal accountability for their own health, while the same percentage chose to increase their activity levels to become part of their lifestyle. Beyond these statistics are real stories of transformation by Shell employees who have discovered the benefits of embracing a healthy lifestyle. As Shell intensifies its support for employee development, the Be Well Programme remains a viable channel in motivating employees to take more personal accountability for their own health and live a better, more balanced life.
