Dr. Steven Bowers of Bowers Dental Group has practiced dentistry in Shelton for over 20 years now where he has been voted Best Dentist in Shelton several years in a row. He provides exceptional care towards not only his patients but also his employees. Bowers is an engaged father of twelve and understands the demands of being a working parent. He makes flexibility a gold standard in his employee benefits to support his employees: employees are encouraged to make it to their kids’ game, school play, field trip, and any other important event in their families’ lives. He donates to various charities as well as our local schools, fundraisers and community events. He cares most sincerely for his employees and desires to coach them within their career journey. As one staff member said, “I have known him 20 years and I have never met someone so calm and collected. He is always striving to do what is best for those around him. Over the years, I have watched people transform around him due to his virtue he embodies.”
Jennifer Duncan, Peninsula Credit Union has dedicated 21 years of her professional journey to Peninsula Credit Union. Since 2011, she has been serving as the Branch Manager. She takes pride in creating a work environment where her team can grow personally and professionally. Beyond professional development, she believes creating a positive and enjoyable workplace is equally vital. Jennifer and her staff discovered a unique bond within the team – a love of pickles. They embody the spirit of camaraderie and fun. As one team member exuded about Jennifer: “She treats each member as family, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration. It’s this team-focused approach that makes working under her leadership not only professionally rewarding but also personally enriching.”
Amber Trail, Our Community Credit Union first started in their marketing department in 2016 and then she worked her way up through the organization to become the Director of Marketing for OURCU. She strives to give back to her community as much as she can. Amber has served on the United Way of Mason County Board of Directors since 2017 and volunteers for various non-profit events and committees. She volunteers in the schools to help the youth better understand not only their finances and financial partners within our community but also career path options for their future. Amber believes in the warm approach of meeting their members wherever they are on their financial journey and meeting their staff where they are on their career path. As one staff member said, “Her creativity and innovation are what make the workplace a positive and uplifting environment day in and day out. Amber is kind, caring, and compassionate to absolutely everyone she meets.”
