2. Windermere Real Estate/ Himlie Inc. donates a portion of commission from every transaction to local nonprofits. In March, the Windermere Foundation presented Sound Learning with funds to hire a bilingual teacher's aid for their evening ESL class.

10. YSS Dive volunteers hauled a ton of junk out of the Hood Canal.

11. Great Bend Center for Music earned a Challenge America grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The funding will allow for professional recording of its American Prize-winning commission“Borders” along with the development of curriculum and practice materials that will help kidsexplore some of the cultural contributions and experiences of Native Americans, African Americans, Latin Americans, and Asian Americans within the American tapestry.

12. Mason Health earned their first Energy Star Rating, outperforming similar buildings throughout the nation.
