1. The Chamber partnered with WorkSource to bring a Construction Bootcamp to The Ridge Motorsports Park. The program provides free, training to those looking to enter the trades.

2. Windermere Real Estate/ Himlie Inc. donates a portion of commission from every transaction to local nonprofits. In March, the Windermere Foundation presented Sound Learning with funds to hire a bilingual teacher's aid for their evening ESL class.

4. Mason Transit Authority reopened the Shelton-Matlock Park and Ride following significant improvements. The renovated facility has parking for 65 vehicles, shelter, security lighting and cameras.

5. Shelton Family YMCA is here for good! After one year the Y is serving more than 400 kids and distributed $52K to support families in need.

6. Sierra Pacific's Red Emmerson claimed the cover of The Land Report, sharing a fascinating story of a 19-year-old whose built an empire. He and his family are still turning timber into profits 72 years later.

8. Community Lifeline s Point In Time count. The unhoused individuals th is used to calculate fund those in need.

9. Olympic Mountain Ice Cream collaborated to create a unique flavor featuring Urraco Coffee Co.’s house-roasted beans. You can get it by the scoop or in milkshake form at Urraco’s Steamboat location.

10. YSS Dive volunteers hauled a ton of junk out of the Hood Canal.

11. Great Bend Center for Music earned a Challenge America grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The funding will allow for professional recording of its American Prize-winning commission“Borders” along with the development of curriculum and practice materials that will help kidsexplore some of the cultural contributions and experiences of Native Americans, African Americans, Latin Americans, and Asian Americans within the American tapestry.

12. Mason Health earned their first Energy Star Rating, outperforming similar buildings throughout the nation.

13. The Shelton Plant Shop is growing (see what we did there?) and recently expanded the footprint of its retail space on Third Street in downtown Shelton.
