“Where Should I Look?” Your Guide to Great Thrift Store Finds

Vintage Finds 2011

Letter

from the Editor:

When I was younger, my mother and I would go “treasure hunting” to the local thrift stores to see what we could find. Back then, I didn’t want to look at all the old stuff. But now, treasure hunting at thrift stores is something I make time to do every week! I’ve found everything from Johnny Cash records in pristine condition to Christian Dior handbags! Sometimes what we treasure hunters find at these thrift stores isn’t worth much money, but is a priceless item nonetheless. This magazine exists to showcase what thrifters all over the world have found, and to teach you what to look for when you’re in the cute vintage boutique downtown. Let us know if you’ve found your treasure and we might feature you in our next issue! Happy Hunting!

Star Finder of the month: This vintage brown fedora was hidden in the toy bin at her local Goodwill. Such a lucky find! Julie found this beautiful vintage handbeaded purse at the boutique in downtown Greenville, SC. It will look great with the brown fedora and a leather jacket!
