User’s Manual
STEP 1
Please carefully and completely read the safety and maintenance instructions before installing the equipment. About the manual
Manufacturer’s liability
This manual was prepared for skilled electricians and service technicians and contains important information as to safety cautions for the installation and service of this equipment. Failure to follow cautious installation practices may cause serious injury to the installer or other persons as well as to the surrounding properties. This manual contains the latest state of technical information at the time when the product first entered the market. Continuous dedication to improve our products require that specifications and design are subject to change without notice.
The manufacturer shall not be hold liable for any of the following events:
Glossary
Installation
The following terms are used in this manual with the following meaning:
First draw an accurate installation plan and then continue as below:
Main insulator: round porcelain piece MUST BE MOUNTED 4 cm away from the wall plate to support and keep the cable well stretched.
1234-
• Infringement of the applicable rules and standards in the country of use for electric safety and accidents prevention • Installation errors, incorrect applications of the instructions provided in this manual • Failure to comply with electric power specifications • Modifications or changes without prior manufacturer’s approval • Installation by non-authorized personnel
Fixation of the wooden plates and the main insulators WOODEN PLATES: before installing drill Ø 3mm holes in the plates. A) Drill two fixation holes in each 60mm and 80mm Ø wooden plates. The centre distance between the holes must be parallel to the floor for troublefree fixation of the porcelain elements.
A
Centre distance
Wooden plate Ø 60 o Ø 80
IMPORTANT: non compliance with these instructions may negatively effect the safety of this material.
Floor
Porcelain elements: this includes switches, turn switches, push-buttons, junction boxes and various sockets. Our porcelain elements consist of a base and a cover piece. Porcelain elements are best installed using the special wall plate in order to insulate them from the wall.
Fix wooden plates and insulators; Install the electric Tv or/and telephone cable; Fix the porcelain base plates; Strip the insulation of the electrical, Tv and telephone cables; 5 - Perform cabling of the various junction boxes and porcelain elements; 6 - Bind cables to the insulators; 7 - Align the cable;
B B) Drill three holes in the 100 mm Ø wooden plates to form a up-side-down triangle whose angles are of 60° each (to avoid infringement of the screws of the bases).
Wooden plate Ø 100
Important: Make yourself familiar with these instructions before starting the installation. Please duly account for each and every installation step since the very first design stage of the project. If necessary, the personnel assigned to the installation jobs must comply with these instructions and eventually lay out a “safety procedure” in order to assure maximum safety of all persons and compliance with applicable electric rules and laws in the country. Floor
Fixation of the wooden plates and main insulators
STEP 1
STEP 3
INSULATORS: initially, avoid tightening the screws that must be able to rotate during installation. Final tightening can be performed at the end of the installation.
Base plates fixation
A
A) Locate the main insulators 4cm away from the rim of each wooden plate; B) Locate the remaining insulators approximately 45 cm but no more than 50 cm away from each other (particularly mind this distance requirement for fixation of horizontal cables) C) For insulators fixation on a bend, preferably use two insulators to form a 45° angle against the wall (see picture below). So, the centre distance between insulators will be 5 cm. (If you use only one insulator, the cable may loosen after a while).
A) Unscrew the cover from the base.

Installing electric, TV and telephone cables Start pulling the cable from the top (junction box) to the bottom (turn switch and sockets).
While preparing the necessary wiring cables, make sure to provide 20 cm of cable left from the centre of each wooden plate. This cable length is necessary for later electrical connections and to make pull knots.
Cable 20 cm
C
STEP 2
D
D) place the base in the middle of the wooden plate pulling the cable out (use the provided screws and don’t forget to leave 20 cm cable from the centre of the wooden plate).

STEP 4 E
Stripping the insulation from electric, TV and telephone cables
C C)Make a longitudinal cut in the textile near the clamp.
Steel core clamp
E) Tighten a clamp down against wall underneath base plate (use a steel core clamp).
D D) Cut all around the silk/cotton fabric and pull it out of the pvc cable.
Stripping the insulation from electric,TV and telephone cables
STEP 4
This step provides the necessary length of a silk or cotton piece for step 6. KEEP the fabric for later cable binding.
A A) Undo the plait down to the clamp.
B
B) Take the end of the cable and press the textile to the clamp. If you need to pull the cable through walls or any other kind of surface, strictly use the special porcelain cable entry in order to ensure best insulation.

STEP 5
STEP 6
Cable binding to the main insulators
To do the knots, use the remaining silk fabric obtained in step 4. How to tie the knots:
A
A
A) Provide approximately 10 cm free cable from the clamp in order to avoid problems when screwing the cover down. Wire and connect all porcelain elements and perform functional test before ďŹ xing the covers on the base pieces.
Cable binding to the main insulators
B
10 cm
STEP 6
In order to keep the cable tight you need binding (knotting) the cable. After wiring the junction box, bind the nearest main insulator. At this stage and not before you can start binding the cable to the insulators. Perform the knots (marked out in the picture by a different colour) in the same direction as the wooden plate.
A) Slightly loosen the plait to obtain a hole.
C
B) Let the fabric obtained in step 4 through the hole.
D
perform the knots in the same direction as the wooden plate.
C) Stretch the double end as shown in the picture.
D) Let both fabric pieces obtained before over the cable and do 2 knots. Take up again the edges and tie two knots with them.

STEP 6 G
Binding the cable to the main insulators
H
I
E E) Fit the fabrics into the hole and pull the ends to the knot.
F F) Now insert the cable into the insulator
G) Bind the cable to the opposite main insulator following same procedure.
H) Link the remaining insulators.
I) Remove the two remaining fabric pieces. This is the ďŹ nal result.
Cable binding to the main insulators
STEP 6
Important: if there are more than 2 m cable between the two main insulators, do one knot also in the intermediate insulator between two main insulators. This is especially usefull if the cable is layed horizontally. Around a bend always tie two knots between two insulators (using the same colour fabric for improved aesthetics).
Cable alignment
Articles
STEP 7
Now that the cable is fixed to the main insulators and locked by the base plates, you can start aligning the cable. Using item 01200 (offset insulator with screws and dowels) simply align the cable by rotating the insulator around its own screw (the insulator holes are not aligned, they are offset which makes it easy to adjust). Now tighten the fixation screw and your system is finished.
