Albarino is the increasingly popular white wine from Galicia, we have two. Additionally we now are pleased to offer a Godello from Rafael Palcios, a great option and step up.
Rioja leads the quality the rest of Spain aspires to, we are delighted to continue to work with some of the best Bodega’s, notably our friends at El Coto just get better delivering some of the very best wines from the region.
Our new find from the hidden town of Quel on Rioja’s eastern border are the 5th generation family behind Ontañon, and are truly excellent.
Spanish wines continue to grow in popularity, its well-regarded wine producing areas set the pace and quality that others aspire to. Cava is a truly ‘classic method’ sparkling wine that is, in our opinion, better by some than the upstart from across the Mediterranean. The new and delicious vibrant ‘organic’ and vegetarian white and red wines are proving to be very popular.

Without favouritism we support Independent and family producers. We like very much The Simpsons Estate situated close to us near Canterbury and The Gusbourne Estate near Appledore is truly top class. Also, Balfours Hush Heath Estate situated in the Weald of Kent is a key partner, they are well invested, innovative and forward thinking.
When production commences we will also look to work with the Taittinger Champagne property Domaine Evremond which was recently planted at Chilham near Canterbury and will soon have its own winery opening in early 2024.
We continue to support and work with the well-established quality producer Three Choirs Vineyard, they being Britain’s oldest established commercial vineyard, consistent and reliable.
With currently millions of new vines being planted across the UK, in addition to the already established Vineyards, Estates and Wineries that are continuing to grow and develop. These producers range from ‘small and eclectic’ to very ‘knowledgeable and well qualified’ - they are now being joined by the big international players. England’s winemakers are at the forefront of a new, popular and growing phenomena.

Classics from the Loire - Sancerre, from Burgundy - Chablis and the wines of the Rhone and the great Chateaux of Bordeaux are in vogue, as is our most popular single wine, the ever delicious Provence Rosé from family producer Saint Mitre - this now joined by Whispering Angel. Champagne remains the bottle to be seen with, we like the independent labels Taittinger and Charles Heidsieck, and support the classic family brands Bollinger and Pol Roger
There are also new additions from the South West and the Languedoc in particular - we are pleased with the very special Domaine de Pellehaut Family Reserve and it impresses all. Our friend Gordon Russell has sadly departed ESK after 37 years, but his wines continue to shine bright and we are pleased to offer a number of wines from this Napier-Hawkes Bay property.
This year we have gone further south and added top Central Otago producer Akarua to our list - their RUA Pinot Noir is very special indeed.
