You only end up going back to teaching in order to fill your pockets again. Therefore, make sure you have a large amount of savings first, enough to sustain you until your next job. Another alternative here is to have another job ready. # 2: Make sure your work is done. As a teacher and professional, it is important not to leave behind any responsibility. It is recommended to give yourself some time to finish or brush off some lessons with your students before deciding to quit. It is very unprofessional and might reflect on your record if you simply don’t attend school and drop it once and for all. Finding a replacement may be an additional burden in the part of the administration. It is often suggested that when you want to leave teaching, you must do it at the end of the year or term. In addition, make sure to finish your tasks like grading papers, projects and releasing the student’s grades. # 3: Exit gracefully. Even if you decided not to return to school or possibly forget this whole chapter in your life, make sure who you left behind must remember something good about you. Thus if there are conflicts, resolve this with the people affected. If exit interviews are necessary, do this task as well.
