Be sure to consider these before turning in your resignation. Thing # 1: Diversity of individuals. Your students change from a school year to a semester. Often, they come and go without us noticing the time. This would be one thing you will surely miss after you resign from teaching. In a common workplace, you normally see the same old faces. They often remain for years and you'll stick with the same group of people and the same set of friends. This is different in a school where you can learn new types of people and get to meet them as well. This helps you to develop your network and gain more friends in the end. Thing # 2: Flexible time. Teaching does not necessarily involve 8-9 hours full of work. Normally, a teacher would just be present for a number of hours in a school to teach and do some teacher stuff like checking papers or preparing the lesson plans. This is somehow one great advantage for teachers every time. They are not normally spending most of their time in school. Compared to other professions for they tend to get stuck in the office for 8 or 9 hours a day and even extend it when situation arises. Thing # 3: More holiday. The number of holidays would be another thing that you probably can not return once you leave an educational institution. Most often, the education system and schools depend on national holidays, including summer vacation and local holidays. Most of the time school is off during the summer and special holidays like Christmas and New Year. This also means more vacation on your end as a teacher excluding the weekends that you can also enjoy as well. Theseare just some of the things that you certainly will lose and can not go back to when you decide to leave the teaching profession. More or less, there are actually many things that you can do while being a teacher. Therefore, spend some time and thoughts before you finally resign from teaching.
