This issue in brief has information on updated A-Z of Women‘s Refuges, Faith Section, including important dates,. There is a focus on faith information in this edition due to the time of year.
We are still SHEvolving the magazine, and acted on some points regarding fonts size etc, and will probably be fiddling ith the format in the next few months. Please let us know what you do or do not like and we will try to see if workable (no promises)!. We aim to listen and work as a collective. Readers are also contributors — you drive the content and the direction. This is one thing here it is true to say ―WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER‖ …… LOL! Overall so far feedback on Issue #1 has been beyond expectation, very good. Our Twitter had over 300 followers by the end of it‘s first eek and is currently edging nearer to 400.
It also has information on important Contacts and closing times (this will be further updated on-line over the next week). I am also slowly transferring content onto our wordpress so it will have ongoing and up to date content from mid January! In the meantime we are on Facebook and Twitter daily.
Dare Dream Do! There are numerous issues to discuss and write about next year but as some of them like the economy are depressing we shall leave it until January. We have all year for that!
We have found 1 volunteer Proof Reader, but more are welcome. She starts in January, so apologies for any errors (all mine)!

WING - Women in Faith Group on Merseyside WING activities WING is made up of a core group of women of different faiths and a wider membership. The core group organise events, with imput from the wider membership, that enable women to share and learn about different faith traditions, stories, festivals and celebrations throughout the year. Membership of WING is informal and free to all women of any faith. To join the mailing list or for more information, please contact Irene
Celebrating women's Lives- Quilt Making In November, WING had an enjoyable evening working on the peace and prayer quilt which women from Ruth's churches have been developing. We were joined by two knowledgeable members of the Liverpool Embroiderers Guild, Vicky and Val who helped us with the project - and also with consuming the delicious homemade food we shared. They soon recovered from the coffee served with salt! (someone had stored it where the sugar goes) and good progress was made with refreshments and with the quilt. Ruth shared inspirational poetry and we agreed we'd all love to get together again in January to do more on the quilt - including adding motifs from various faith groups to the border.

Our girls all learned from the best Sadie, LOL! We‘ve done our shopping online & going to the kids for chrimbo dinner. Seen them women on the TV ads prepping for chrimbo? I‘m shouting NOoooo at the TV LOL!
Yes girls, another classic from our Jean. Nina could barely tell me for laughing. Practicing her autograph, LOL!
I know the girls always scream at the TV when they come & shout … It‘s 2012 not 1952! I just think to myself would not have done all that then either, Ha ha our Ma‘s taught us the quick less stress ways & delegation, LOL!
Someone as saying on TV the other they thought the TV ads spose to be ironic. I thought Mmm, that‘s ironic, ...fools, no time for them. You know how we go at Eid, you don‘t get‘ help, you don‘t get … well you get trouble, hahahaha!
Maybe e could set up another social enterprise doing non sexist, non ageist marketing ….. We could get your Fiaza & the girls to ‗upcycle‘ the advertisers to the 21st century, LOL!
Or speak to Equity & see if they can persuade actresses it‘s not a good idea to perpetuate that rubbish. Sure not all work can be ‗art‘ & they need a pay cheque, but the price of what they lose is higher. Just saying, LOL!
Your Jean hasn‘t tried acting yet has she Sadie?
Or a business giving a tresses & doormats some backbone, LOL!
We should all keep our cards from Jean though. She probably will be famous 1 day yanno! A good investment for E-Bay, LOL!

The national charity Women‘s Aid have some disturbing statistics on the impact of the issue in UK! As we are nearing a lot of festive events information on where people can go for help from domestic violence is in this edition. We will have more focus on the issue in future editions.
THE FREEDOM PROGRAMME ―The Freedom Programme which deals with male violence to women and children.‖ The Freedom Programme is available as an on line course for £10.00. What is domestic violence? In Women's Aid's view domestic violence is physical, sexual, psychological or financial violence that takes place within an intimate or family-type relationship and that forms a pattern of coercive and controlling behaviour. This can include forced marriage and socalled 'honour crimes'. Domestic violence may include a range of abusive behaviours, not all of which are in themselves inherently 'violent'. (Women‘s Aid) Does domestic violence only happen in certain cultures or classes? Research shows that domestic violence is most commonly experienced by women and perpetrated by men. Any woman can experience domestic violence regardless of race, ethnic or religious group, class, disability or lifestyle. Domestic violence can also take place in lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender relationships, and can involve other family members, including children.

Pitch Perfect www.pitchperfectmovie.com
One film I am very much looking forward to being released this christmas is the highly anticipated movie 'Pitch Perfect.' This film is about a girl starting off at a college (that's University to us brits) and slowly being enticed into joining the school's show choir. The movie stars Anna Kendrick (Twilight saga), and as I have seen from the trailer this could be her big break in this starring role! Pitch Perfect has music, dancing and a hell of a lot of teenage drama and angst! Not to mention humour. Just to watch the trailer can make you laugh for five minutes after it's over! I think this is a must see this Christmas season with the film release on the 21st of December! Review by Sarah ‗Lola‘ Hylton Pitch Perfect — IMDB

Hiya Faiza. There is a great job for you wth MRANG in this SHEquality Matters Mag & a good one for your Suzy at Wellbeing. I‘m looking at a P/T one in Mencap.
No, there was nothing in there that is really Jean! I‘ve got her doing voluntary work experience though. Yeah, she is doing the organising for Christmas, the decorations some of the shopping, cards, etc. I told her Events Management is a good way to get into the celeb world. But seeing as she does not even organise her wardrobe that well she should do a ‗trial‘ & see if she has potential. She‘s livid, but could not argue her way out of it, LOOoool! …...

A few things run through my mind ……. As if you want to know! ―So we‘re spose to believe that ‘meat‘ that is ‘mature‘, is better than fresh‖.. ―I like to experiment with food. Try new things combine, etc. Love Colcannon, as I say to the teenager ‘3 vegetables in one‘! But, 3 birds in one, when was that ever a good idea? ―Four pound for a glass of wine, two pound for a cup of coffee. Oh, yeah that‘s a good deal. Cos I can like buy a bottle of wine or a jar of coffee for that‖ #bargain ―So if two or more of you are going it‘s cheaper to get a hire cab than the bus‖ ―Chocolate. It can never be wrong surely? After all they even have a diabetic version. Ok so it probably would be rude not to have some‖ ―Why do they never have anything left in the clothes shop I like in my size? #conspiracytheory #fashionpolice ―Imitation, imitation, imitation. Irritation. Imagination, irrestible? ―We can all have ideas. For some people it‘s their own‖ ―Ideas can be interpreted in many different ways. Some better than others‖ ―We don‘t always need new ideas. Recycling is a good idea. However, when it comes to some policies and ideologies, that is not the case‖ ―Apparently Food Banks are an example of the Big Society. More like an example of the BIG CON‖ #hewasserious? #heisseriously…
