Fire Resistance Properties
SHERA board is the non-asbestos, fibre-cement product composing of Portland cement, cellulose fiber and refined sand. With the special manufacturing process called autoclave, our board acquires the strength, durability of cement and easy workability of wood work as well as dimensional stability. SHERA board with a smooth surface is best suited for seamless wall and ceiling applications. It is flat board with recessed edges for ceiling application as well as partitioning which require seamless lining. SHERA board is easy to install with high fineness while maintaining good strength, stability and durability.

metal screws, the size and length of the screw will be according to thickness of the board and the gauge of framing. Pre-drilling the board is a must, otherwise, self-embedding, self-drilling head screws such as SHERA FIX-W32G8 are preferred.
Jointing: Since fibre-cement board is subjected to slightly dimensional changes, flush joint can be used in dry area as ceiling or partition. An exterior acrylic patching compound is recommended.
Conditions Transportation, Handling and Storage: Deliver SHERA board to project site in original, unopened package and store them in fully enclosed space where they will be protected against damage from humidity, direct sunlight, surface contamination and other causes. No special tools are required. The products can be hit by normal nails like wood work, fastened by normal or self-drilling screw and cut by electric power saw with diamond blade. Fixing: SHERA Deco’board can be fixed to both timber with minimum size 1.5 x 3 inch or steel frame with at least 0.55 mm thickness. The board must be supported at the edged at intermediate positions with centers not exceeding 600 mm. Fastener must be located at more than 12 mm from edges and 50 mm from board corners.

Fastener: Fastener can be both nails and screw. It can be nailed directly to timber supports with round wire nails. For metal screws, the size and length of the screw will be according to thickness of the board and the gauge of framing. Pre-drilling the board is a must ,otherwise, self-embedding, self-drilling head screws are preferred.
Jointing: Since Deco’board is subjected to slightly dimensional changes, butt joint can be used in dry partitioning area or where the exposed joint appearance is acceptable. For better water protection, either flexible acrylic or polyurethane based sealant can be used to seal the gap of 3-5 mm
