Fire safety

In Kenelm we have a ‘families’ system. This involves groups of five or six girls from various year groups forming ‘families’ within the House. The idea is that you will get to know each other very well over the course of the year, and become a tight-knit support group for each other.

You will sit together every Monday for lunch. Sometimes you will be asked to meet as ‘families’ - this is a useful way of canvassing opinions on a variety of matters.

Everyone’s opinion is important. When we have House meetings, families offer everyone the opportunity to feed back their opinions. We can then use these views to change or improve things in Kenelm – meaning that our systems work for everyone. There are notices displayed on the main noticeboards that let you know which ‘family’ you belong to.
