Our UK summer school courses give a unique taste of life at a British boarding school, boosting English language skills and bringing excitement to education They are intensive and academic but also offer an extensive choice of sports, activities, and excursions
We emphasise development for the individual and that is why our classes are small W ith a usual class size of 8, teachers can give each student personal attention, while the overall staff to student ratio of
1:3 always ensures a high level of pastoral care
Written academic and house reports are sent to parents, with details of the work covered, progress made, relevant achievement levels and general involvement in the course
Students can enjoy learning in a friendly and caring atmosphere, whilst parents can relax knowing that their children are safe, well looked after and receiving the best attention
Juniors are hosted on the Newell Grange campus for their lessons and their accommodation which, being a small campus, is perfect for younger students
Seniors have their classes on the main Sherborne School campus and live in Sherborne School boarding houses
“Sherborne Summer offers the best international course in the country.”

Matron is on site every day. Students can also see a doctor at a local surgery, though may be required to pay for this The nearest hospital which has a minor injuries unit is just a few metres away There is a 24-hour accident and emergency unit at a hospital 5 miles away.
You are strongly advised to take out comprehensive medical insurance (including dental care) as well as for travel and valuables At all times we aim to look after your child as if they were our own. There is 24-hour supervision of students and many of our staff are trained first aiders and have training for issuing medicine
Our administration team should be informed of any pre-existing illnesses or allergies, prior to a student’s arrival, especially if they require treatment Where the child arrives with prescription medicine, a suitable doctor’s note (translated to English) will need to be provided to ensure the medication can be issued by our nurses
