Recentely graduated with high honors from the Architecture and urban design faculty in the German university in Cairo. During my years at the German University in Cairo I always maintained a high GPA and was on the ranking list as I was very committed to school. I also spent a semester at the GUC in berlin, which allowed me to get exposed to different peoples with different cultures. Although I just graduated , my maturity, exposure, ability to work within a team, and analytical and problem-solving skills will make me a suitable candidate. I would love to learn and gain an insight into the workflow in an architecture company. LUXOR REHABILITATION CENTER [Bachelor project]

Designing a place for Mental and physical rehabilitation, situated on the East bank of the Nile River in Luxor. The center consists of four sections, Mental Rehab, Physical Rehab, Hydrotherapy and an aditional facility serving the public of luxor.I wanted to create a homelike setting which is welcoming and comforting, to eliminate any kind of unsettling feeling because it was very important to think of the emotional state of the patients. So i decided to divide my rehabilitation centre into smaller units, so that patients don’t feel lost as the scale of the project is quiet huge with 20,000 sqm area of the program. Inspired from the village setting of luxor i created my clusters which resulted in an interesting path cutting through the site.

AGRIURBAN METROPOLIS/ COSMIC HOSPITALITY:

TOWARDS A LESAA ANTHROPOCENTRIC METROPOLIS

[Design studio IX]

The project started by monitoring the evolution of the map of kafr ghattai, which was obviusly showing the rapid growth of buildings taking away the green lands. Hence we proposed a criteria that helps redirect the overgrowth and integrate greens everywhere to compensate the sprawl. As a group we came up with different typologies that adapt to the current lliving sitaution in Kafr Ghatatti, while trying to reactivate this site, to be a destination for tourists and citizens to make use of the scenery and the natural views.

BRANDING EGYPTIAN CITIES/ MASPERO TRIANGLE [Design studio VII]

After the demolition of Maspero triangle the government wanted proposals to reactivate the site and brand Cairo through this vital spot. We started working on 3 scales, the schematic scale was the main vision for rebranding this site which we decided to be an inclusive cultural district. Then we started to work on a smaller scale and we located it in the middle of the triangle which we planned to be an iconic eye catching building that attracts people to the site and works as a catalyst to activate this site and a park to gather all the surrounding buildings together. Taking into consideration the waterline and the activities going to take place there.

NEW LUXOR, NEW HOUSING TYPOLOGIES/ 3 COURTYARD COMMUNITY

[Design studio V]

The task was to design a housing project to be implemented in New Tiba, Luxor, Egypt. The design proposes a solution to the poor methods of expansion in developing neighbourhoods by creating well designed, easthetic techniques for the building to grow, while being tailored to the cliens needs and everyday life activities at the same time. The design was inspired by the local heritage and cultural aspects related to Luxor, while specificaly focusing on the human scale.

Spandau district redevelopment {semester abroad}

The project was redesigning a piece of land in Spandau district, Berlin, Germany to accomodate the population growth about to happen in Berlin. The land was chosen because it has the potential to adapt to the new housing project. It is currentely dominated by old historical Barrak buildings occupied by refugees and random 70s buildings scattered across the site. The challenege was to keep the historical buildings untouched and redesign the wasted land area.

AZBAKEYA MARKET HALL

[Integrated project]

At first when we thought of the market hall two important facts came to our mind public spaces and daylight. Transporting these two keyboards into a design, we started by having separate masses containing the main functions with public spaces in between. Furthermore, to integrate daylight into the idea, we thought of having a slab acting as a huge shed with random openings that allow daylight. Consequently, this resulted in having complete solid masses having the functions of the market hall and in between we have the main market with some open spaces.Last but not least, we wanted to dedicate the second floor to be a fancy food lounge including a group of the famous restaurants in town.
