CINEMA HOUSE PUBLIC CINEMA HOUSE , CROATIA International Architecture & Urban Design Competition
In a small Town in Croatia , there was an old cinema building, where people in the neighbor-hood were unable to use it as it was old and was half - ghosted as an earthquake has hit the lands causing some deformed walls. The major wanted to create a new cinema house as it was his first act as a new major of the city , so that the people in the neighbor-hood would use it once again. I proposed to build a cinema house , where people can easily access and , also that it could be used a small enjoyable park at sometime by the people. Also i tried to give them the same feeling of what the old cinema building had with an open roof cinema part.

TESTING THE WATER PUBLIC PARK , PORTLAND , OR , U.S.A International Landscape Design Competition 70% of our planet surface is covered with water, and only 2.5% of it is freshwater. More seriously, 69% of our freshwater is stored in polar ice and cannot be directly used by people. The amount of usable water is very little .What’s worse , in the most of the contemporary cities , people rarely have a chance to engage with natural water ( water from rivers/springs, etc). Also, due to the loss of natural habitat , biodiversity in urban areas has dramatically decreased in recent decades. It is critical to let people directly experience this precious natural resource, and let them judge whether it is polluted. I purposed to build a public park with public access that provides opportunities for people to experience natural water , test the water and see the purification process. As intended to choose a site with general conditions so that this park can be built in numerous places , i finally picked a riverfront area that is adjunct to Willamette River in Portland , Oregon , the United States.

Qalyoub Pre-Urban Design PUBLIC HOUSING DESIGN PROJECT , CAIRO UNIVERSITY PROJECT In Semester 6 , My colleague and I worked in a housing project , in the University. It was a development project made by “ Gate-Way Co.” The project was taking place in “Qalyoub el-Mahata”. Part of the city was already build with small undeveloped houses , and the main project was on the other side of the canal as , they were changing the green lands into housing units . Inviting new people and for the people who already live on the other side of the canal. Our task was to create reasonable housing units for the new people , who were buying or building their houses. As we go higher in the roads the higher the life status of the people. We chose the middle road as to create unique yet affordable houses for the new residence.

THE SPINE URBAN DESIGN PROJECT , CAIRO UNIVERSITY PROJECT Tahrir Square was known through-out the years for it’s political power in the city , but now this is being stripped away from it. Our main aim is to revive the square and reshape it to regain it’s power instead of political power ; culture and social will be it’s new power in the city. City Scale Design Strategy : The four main axes that stiches both sides of the Nile River which is connected by the water front prevents the water front from being activated for the human scale so by creating a new longitudinal axis that acts as a spine which connects all axis transversal axis of the city.

SMALL HOUSES During my studies , a group of architectural colleagues , decided to make a small one day challenge , for creating a unique design for any architectural typology. The main purpose was to push our creativity and to come up with something that , somehow could be used for future development , moreover is to help see what other architects can learn from each other. I chose housing units as a typology. I proposed to creating small housing units (Lofts). By putting some regulations for my design such as it is only a 6X6X6 ,also as same entrance location and same stair way location. I experimented how a family acts inside the house , so as to make every step they make would be direct to what they want .

Thesis of Architecture During my traveling in my city , i cross against some issues that i believe could become more interesting. Some may seem unimportant or , un-essantial for the surroundings or , even won’t make a difference. I came a cross 2 different typologies , through out my passage from my school to my home. One of them is an abandoned park in front of our house , it was only made for plants and there was a fence protecting it , yet pushing us away. Another one , was on the road to my house as , i pass by a community plaza of out door coffee shops and a narrow street next to it a tram rail-way road that is un-used now, which affected the road making traffic.
PARK LIFE Abandoned park in front of our house. An illustration showing how green areas and public spaces could create a place for people to gather and reach one another once more , rather than just adding empty green spaces only for plants.
Roads vs public life Road & Rail-way affecting street life. An illustration showing the relationship between the road and pedestrian life. By removing all obstacles between roads and pedestrian roads.
