PROJECT AND RESEARCH PROJECT AND RESEARCH
Interior design is about relationships. The designer and the user, the interior and the exterior, the individual and the group, the sensual and the rational. I am willing to find a balance in my continuous practice to add value to our daily life
Culture Appreciation Inadequate Toronto, ON Thesis Project, Advised by Professor Ala Roushan, OCAD University 08.2020 – 01.2021 ● The thesis developed ideas that instead of letting architecture guide people, people define architecture. ● Emphasis on participatory design, through the research of four different types of public architectures. ● Using Spatial narrative allowed people to define the diverse cultural meaning of the public architecture in urban space. Avoiding culture appropriation caused by designer's unconscious stereotyping.
LEADERSHIP LEADERSHIP&&EXTRACURRICULAR EXTRACURRICULARACTIVITIES ACTIVITIES Participated eVolo 2021 Skyscraper Competition 01.2020 – 04.2021 ● Led a team of three to design a skyscraper related to reducing land desertification. ● Researched the serious situation of land desertification, to improve the living conditions of sand control rangers, and to call for education on land desertification for the next generation.

CITY WALK
01
This hotel is inspired by its geographic location and building history, this design aims to show Toronto's diverse cultures and stimulate people to discover the city. The features and challenges of the design help to build the interaction between the hotel and the city. The structure naturally extends the city street through the ramp to the interior of the hotel, while the interior spaces are divided into small pieces scattered around the ramp according to their functionality. These new interiors continue the red brick and window forms of the original façade to achieve the feeling of being inside the hotel but still walking through the city.

The inner spaces are connected by a long slope, which could narrow the distance between the city and the building. The north and east facades are historically protected. Therefore, the new add-in structures are more easily shown from the back of the building

The design aims to create new tailored accessible interiors for the client with limited mobility. Circulation with no barrier allows him to move smoothly at home. Design custom furniture to meet the needs of his and his partner's different usage. Combining with his life experiences to create new secondary employment opportunities for him at home. While retaining the red brick walls of the original building, using different structural ways to ensure enough natural lighting and privacy at the same time.

Nouakchott is the capital of Mauritania in West Africa. It has one of the world's weakest economic foundations. The low rainfall and high average temperatures also cause a shortage of water resources. The site is close to the center of the city and surrounded by many large open markets, residential areas, and government offices. This project aims to use modular design to help rebuild the discipline for the chaos of street vending and traffic. Meanwhile use the climate condition to create an inner water cycle to support the market daily usage. Containers that are used for import and export will use as the main material to reduce the cost of construction

I got a large quantity of shoes. Now I need a place to store these products.
I wish to have a space with cover to keep my fish fresh.
Please be careful with the fruit on the ground.
I need a table to place the cookies I made.
Although I sell good quality products, my stall is too small for people to find it
These umbrellas are inconvenient for me to carry every day.
Based on the main local business types and demands, all the modules are mainly divided into five types which are retail stores, commercial stores, restrooms, itinerant vendors and plantand m a r k e d b y d i ff e r e n t colors to organize. The basic sizes for a single module is 3x3x3 meters and all the modules flexible to joint to make a new combination.

Vegetation Barrier Tower
05
The design of this skyscraper is aimed to strengthen dune fixation, sand plant cultivation through the governance of soil and vegetation, sending waters to the underground, and sand protecting plantation forests, to reduce natural disasters like dust storms. It is designed to be built in any area between arid, semi-arid, and semi-humid. we hope to turn the lower half of the tower into a reusable small plant breeding tower. Using the larger tower as the center and surrounded by smaller breeding towers to help to breed more vegetation meanwhile connecting each other and reestablishing the barrier. The design also aims to do publicity between young teenagers and future generations about the importance of vegetation and environmental protection Project Location: NA Date: 2021.02 Total space: >10000 ㎡

Food Crisis
The impact of land desertification is huge and even causes a vicious cycle. Land nutrition and water loss leading to aridity, frequent wildfires. Vegetation reduction, bare land, destroys the habitation of plants and animals which causes a significant impact on biodiversity. Porous Soil that is over loosen may become moveable and leads to a higher possibility of landslides and dust storms. Moreover, arid land that couldn’t be used for agriculture may have a huge negative impact on humanity’s survival and development which means More and more people are going to face the lack of food and water.

The upper part of this design consists of co-living and co-working spaces. The lower part is designed as a large green plant breeding tower. Through the tower lift structure, plants or trees and land will transmit to the surrounding land together when the growth vegetation becomes stable, to improve plant survival rate and to reduce the extra waste that may be produced by a single set of cultivating plants.
