Research Modelling CAD Outcome

Development Process My design process starts with research and ideation sketching to develop initial ideas. Then I developed foam models to have a 3D prototype to better understand the foam. Through the user-testing, I identified the curvature of my design is too small to fit most users hands. So I improved the design from modelling process.

The matte white finish combined with space grey adheres to modern minimalist style to set out at the start to present the classic.

Exploring Possibility

Final Solution How Tosbok Works? Toasbok using Aluminium Silicon Alloy as shell for the strong heat resistance and finish. Using the exploded view, we learnt the sizing and placement of internal components have to be considered and that working out how each part goes together. We also need to consider how it will be manufactured and how to make the part line as aesthetic as possible.

User Testing Tracy Groisin

20 Industrial Design student

A crucial part of my Orical design process involved creating several foam models of my developed sketched ideas and testing the effectiveness of these ideas. Feedback involving function, aesthetics, safety, ease of use, portability was gained enabling further development. My design is a folding desk shelf that enables users to tidy up their desk, meet different tools and save space by using this product.

Scenario of Use 1. An ORICAL can be folded into a small piece in order to save space.

2. Open an ORICAL, it can transform

into different form to fit various tools.

Form 1: In this form, small stuff such

as pens, rubbers and glass cloth can be accepted.

Form 2: In this form, larger stuff

such as scissors and crafting knives can be accepted.
