Our guide, now in it’s sixth year, is an annual publication that showcases what we believe to be some of the best local independent businesses that our fine city has to offer ­— and the hidden gems that make our city one of the most vibrant places to live in the country. This is your invitation to be featured in our next issue, due to hit the shelves in early 2019.

Norwich has a thriving community of independent businesses, makers and creators both old and new. With a variety of new ventures, projects and events launching, it’s an exciting time to be living in Norwich. Our core aims are to celebrate this ever-growing independent scene and to capture the community atmosphere across 300+ beautifully designed pages ­— helping both newcomers and locals discover Norwich’s independent businesses.

What is SHHHH?

SHHHH IS A COLLECTIVE OF LOCAL CREATIVES THAT DELIVER PROFESSIONALLY DESIGNED DIGITAL AND PRINTED MARKETING FOR INDEPENDENT BUSINESSES, EVENTS AND LOCAL CREATIVES.

SHHHH is an ever-evolving collective of creative folk. Many of us studied at the University of East Anglia (UEA) or Norwich University of the Arts (NUA). Some born here, some moved and others just blew on an easterly wind. Together, we work on a number of creative ventures for ourselves and other clients ­— our city guides being one of our best-known and most-loved projects. We have a diverse mix of styles, interests, skills and knowledge which add up to a well-rounded view of our favourite city and a wide range of creative services that we offer.

Books This year we will print 10,000 guides. The bulk of these will be distributed across the 200+ businesses and locations that feature in our guide, reaching a wide and varied audience.

Universities, Freshers and Open Days In previous years, both NUA and UEA have picked up on the value of our guide, using it as a tool to encourage students to choose to study in Norwich by handing them out to prospective students both nationally and internationally. We retain a good relationship with both major universities and strive to get the guides into the hands of students when they arrive here through open days, freshers fairs and events.

Our overall readership is expected to reach in excess of 50,000 readers in 2019. It’s a book that is designed to last and be used daily, shared with friends and family, kept out on the coffee table or to be carried in your bag. This, along with a constantly refreshing digital output, means our content has real reach and a significant impact.

Sign Up, Sell and Make Back What You Spend! MAKE BACK WHAT YOU SPEND ON YOUR FEATURE. WE GIVE YOU THE VALUE OF YOUR FEATURE IN GUIDES (RRP). How do you fancy earning back the money you spend on featuring within the guide? Sounds too good to be true? We mean it! Whatever you spend with us, we will send you the equivalent value in guides which you can sell or give away to your customers. The numbers soon add up! Plus, it’s a great way to start a conversation. Giving a new customer a guide is a great way to build relationships and they will be likely to return again.

How It Works 1. HOW

Choose Your Package We’ve created simple and fairly priced packages with independent business budgets of all sizes in mind.

Fill Out Form To sign up simply click one of the ‘choose this package’ buttons next to each package, which will take you through to our website. Pay online and fill in the form. Once we’ve received your payment and key business info we will begin working on your feature.

3.

Sign It Off Once we’ve created your content we will send you a proof for approval. If you need to change anything simply fill in the amendment form that comes with the proof. You will be allowed one set of factual amendments.

Go Live Once approved we will upload your feature to our website as a blog post and add you to our new business directory (great for SEO!).

5.

Receive And Sell Books Our next issue of the guide will be hot off the press in early 2019. We will deliver an equivalent amount of free copies to your door that you can sell to make back every penny you spent with us if you so wish.

6.

Sell More Books! If you sell all of your books you can order more from us online at a wholesale price.
