A letter from
OUR FOUNDER Our fall collection is named after educators who make an impact in our world. They unlock worlds for us, foster our self-esteem and give us the tools to navigate life. We a re a l l s h a p e d b y a n o u t s t a n d i n g t e a c h e r i n a d e e p l y s i g n i f i c a n t w a y. A s w e r e c a l l t h e s e s h e - r o e s i n o u r o w n lives we realize our deep gratitude for the lasting gifts they have given. Our teachers showed us how to articulate a thought , calculate a problem, or define a process, but more importantly they saw us for who we truly are, with our unique genius and our intrinsic value. I personally remember a librarian who saw and appreciated m y c r e a t i v i t y a n d w h i m s y. H e r r e c o g n i t i o n p l a n t e d t h e s e e d of confidence and curiosity that would eventually grow into Shibui Knits. What is your story - who is the teacher that saw you? What did she see? What is the gift she gave that you still carry with you today?
