Dramanon is a theatre fraternity founded at the turn of the century by two professors, Late Mr Chandan Shatpati and Mr Ramakrishna Shenoy in the university township of Manipal. Over the last 13 years we have grown in strength across the country and have produced and staged over 40 plays and 120 shows, that have received critical acclaim and rave reviews from the media and the theatre going public. Dramanon has won numerous awards and has performed in prestigious venues such as Prithvi Theater, Ranga Shankara, NCPA, ShilpaKala Vedika and Ravindra Bharati. Currently active in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Manipal, we are constantly looking to reach out to newer audience and expand our sphere of influence.

SKitS, the community theatre festival, is Dramanon’s way of giving back to the society and to show our gratitude to our patrons. Two years ago, we started the So Keep It Short (SKitS) platform to encourage a culture of theatre. The festival over the last two years has seen more than 50 theatre groups comprising of corporates, colleges and theatre folks come together, challenge and compete with their plays which were no longer than 12 minutes in duration. The SKitS Prelims saw 24 teams battling it out for a spot in the Finals and 8 teams made it through. The response from the audience and the teams was overwhelming. The Finals promises to be a fantastic show and will have Mr Atul Kumar & Mr Mantra Mugdh, renowned theatre personalities from Mumbai, as the judges. May the best team win!
