INTRODUCTION PLAYSCAPE- “PLAYFUL LANDSCAPE” Playscapes are designed with the intent of bringing people back to nature. “A playground with an integrated design of equipment, especially with components made from natural products”. As children, the first lessons we learn are about the natural world around us and those lessons are important because they become the framework for much of the learning that follows, thats one of the reason nature’s theme is more prelevant in children’s upbringing. (april29,2019,karin) In This research book we have categorised the the into 4 types-swinging,sliding,see-saw and climbing for different age groups from (6-16) yrs. Each instrument has different nature of play showed with different scale & context.

Aldo van Eyck’s playground at the Buskenblaserstraat in Amsterdam.

To consider the city is to encounter ourselves. To encounter the city is to rediscover the child. If the child rediscovers the city, the city will rediscover the child – ourselves. LOOK SNOW! A miraculous trick of the skies – a fleeting correction. All at once the child is Lord of the City. But the joy of gathering snow off paralyzed vehicles is short lived. Provide something for the human child more permanent than snow – if perhaps less abundant. Another miracle. van Eyck (1962/2008, p. 25).
