The Communication Ministry is a service-oriented ministry. Through our nine sub-committees, we provide the means by which the Gospel of Jesus Christ and information about Shiloh Baptist Church of Washington are shared. In laymen’s terms, we “Spread the Word!”

Through audio, print, visual media, technology and social networking, we are able to connect with the Shiloh family, friends, and the world wherever you are. In this special “lite” issue of our “Shiloh eSpirit” magazine, we will explore the many ways you can connect with Shiloh. Providing readers new ways to learn about Shiloh, its members and all that is happening within our church.

How We Serve You Audio The Audio Team provides amplification for all worship services and occasional special events as commissioned. They also record audio tracks for use on the WYCB 1340 AM “Shiloh Hour” weekly radio broadcast.

WE NEED YOU! The Communication Ministry of Shiloh Baptist Church is powered by the time and talent of generous volunteers who are just like you! So if you have a particular skill set, interest, or you find you have some extra time on your hands, we can definitely use your help. Marketing The Marketing Group developed Shiloh’s logo and branding guidelines. The Marketing Sub-Committee creates and reviews all documents that are developed for church-wide dissemination to ensure the desired message is clear, appropriate, and aligns with the values of the church. Audio Media The Audio Media Ministry creates and sales CDs and DVDs of Shiloh worship services and other special events. They also oversee production for the Shiloh Hour broadcast. Publications The Publications Sub-Committee provides professional quality graphic design services at no cost for Shiloh organizations and committees. Public Relations The Public Relations Sub-Committee is Shiloh’s official point-of-contact for all media organizations. This group develops press releases, media advisories, promotional material for radio broadcasts, and more. Technology The Technology Sub-Committee provides technical support to Shiloh’s members, friends, and visitors. They also manage the computer lab, teach computer classes, lead workshops, maintain Shiloh’s websites, and sponsor the monthly Wi-Fi Walk-in Technology Clinic. Social Media The Social Media group is our newest Sub-Committee. With the integration of social media in our daily lives, Shiloh’s social media team is reaching our members and community through many popular networking venues.

In case you haven’t heard, we have a new mobile website: ShilohMobile.org!
Village Copy Shop The Copy Shop provides high quality duplication services for Shiloh members at costs less than those of commercial establishments. The primary functions in the Copy Shop are printing flyers, program booklets and postcards. They also work with external vendors to develop posters, banners, and other promotional marketing material.
Why two sites you might ask. The original site (ShilohBaptist.org) provides a sit down, go in the restaurant and order your meal experience for our more traditional members. And the mobile site is like a drive up to the window, order and keep it movin’ experience for our more fast paced members. Although some of the information is shared between the two sites, most of the content is vastly different. So when you get a chance, check out both ShilohBaptist.org and ShilohMobile.org. You also can download our new mobile app ShilohMobileDC from both The App Store and the Google Play Store.
Visual Media The Visual Media team projects graphics, text and videos to enhance the worship experience at Shiloh. They project at formal church meetings; in addition to special events when available.
