FOREWORD An introduction. My journey since the first time I got to know architecture has become unexpected and memorable. The option I chose after graduating from high school unexpectedly led me to the right path and further developed heart and interest in this field. However, I still have a very long way to go and I am really anticipating every hills and valleys. A portfolio is an identity to me. It is like reading one’s life story. Conceiving each other’s portfolio, we are learning how one’s wearing their shoes. This portfolio contains my fleeting journey from not knowing architecture at all to this point. I am aware that there area still many shortcomings and mistakes in

/ The Red Silk An approach of enhancing pedestrian walking experience
Character, experience. and background culture difference varies one’s perception and understanding of space to each other. Humans activities and spatial experiences unconsciously determine the function and definition of the space itself which is used universally-place. The functions and the definition itself keeps evolving and changing overtime, creating new space perceptions due to human constantly-evolving-activities. Human behaviour and space adapt in two directions.
As was the silk road in history, this alley is a connecting access from the city to the Glodok chinatown area. People come to Glodok Chinatown for trading, visiting buddhist temples, enjoying the culinary and culture that still exist until today. The red color on the pavilion is expected to bring happiness, success and good fortune to everyone who passes through it as is believed in Chinese culture. The Red Silk infills inside the alley, optimizing pedestrian walking experience in terms of scale, detail, lighting, and activity. The pavilion brings in activities that were previously located on the roadside into the alley, such as: streert art painters, street vendors, etc.

CONTEXT/MAP
Background The image of the Glodok chinatown area has always been a historical area with strong Chinese culture that is often visited by tourists, especially famous in the fields of culinary, medicine, and cultural heritage of monasteries, pagodas and churches that have been around for a long time since 1650. (Sinar Harapan News, 2014). Permeable pore in the form of alleys are such a characteristic for pedestrians to reach the Chinatown from the main road or the TOD point. Pintu Besar Selatan 2 alley is one of them. However, as a pedestrian walkway, its current condition degrades the spatial quality and walking experience. There are a number of street vendors and illegal parking on either side of the alley. There are no urban amenities, especially for the large number of elderly visitors. Human eyes immediately catch the tall buildings at the T-junction, giving the impression that this alley is just a tiny gap between buildings. In this car-centric city, urban infill is a lifesaver; liven up the street scenes with richer experience, and encourage the creation of new services, shops and attractions through: color, detail, scale, texture, lighting, smell. Reducing the scale of view with an infill urban pavilion will improve the quality of walking because pedestrians will focus more on activities on the road than tall buildings that squeeze the alley.

Car parking turns into commercial retails.
The idea of this longitude section is to show the interaction between the infill urban pavillion with suroounding context and human activites. The form of Red Silk pavilion adapts according to the activity programs, which is: becoming urban amenities, a sun shading for the street vendors, pedestrian walkway shading, and ambience lantern hanger, and a long lively entrance to Glodok Chinatown area. LinQ (uarter) Integrated commercial and working place
LinQ is a new breakthrough in the integrity of everyday life with the digital world. The main concepts of LinQ are integration and connectivity. In addition to integration and connectivity and the digital world, the design of LinQ is also fully dedicated to the integration of pedestrians and commuters by optimizing the space between buildings, roads and public spaces. Overall, the configuration of the spaces in it combines people, activities, buildings, and public spaces to provide accessibility, connectivity, livability, and spatial experience in a human perspective at all levels.

Background
Google LLC delivers integrity breakthroughs in everyday life with the digital world. For this reason, representative subsidiaries have been established in every country to facilitate the best service for users from all over the world. Kelapa Gading, which is one of the economic and entertainment centers in Jakarta, is a suitable location to establish a representative subsidiary of Google LLC in Indonesia. Considering that development in the Kelapa Gading area is relatively new and not evenly distributed, LinQ can be a pioneer in the development of the surrounding area with the potential of the existing area, such as TOD and mixed-use functions. In addition, the site location has the potential to create a mutualistic relationship with the nearby La Piazza mall as visitor attractor to both buildings..

Visitor Attractor & Connectivity The idea of this top view is to show how LinQ is integrated to its surrounding (TOD point, surrounding buildings, paths) to create the sense of connectivity for pedestrian and commuters. It can be seen how the mutualistic relationship happens when the commuters and MKG visitors pass by La Piazza (start getting less visitors) as shortcut to LinQ or parking lot and vice versa. For LinQ workers, passing by La Piazza as shortcut provides safety, comfort, and more lively travel from LRT station.

Kampong Marijo! A new side of Manado tourism
Kampong Marijo! is a waterfont mixed use project dedicated to support the welfare and sustainability of Sindulang Satu fishing community. Kampong Marijo! is expected to bring up another side of Manado tourism. Themed archipelago, this project wants to bring visitors to have unforgetable experiences from the bottom of the sea to the top of the mountain. The organic design tries to remove usual residential tower typology and becomes the attraction itself.

Background The government’s planning for a new development on Sindulang Satu, Manado by building a reclamation for the new CBD center which has the potential to increase the economy and tourists, also encourage development of its surroundings. However, the planning do not pay attention to the lives of local fishing community. Reclamation limits direct access to the sea, eliminates boat parking spaces along the coastline, and eliminates the homes of local fishing community along the coast. At the present time, the welfare of the residents of Sindulang Satu is in stark contrast to the residents of the old city of Manado across the Tondano river. The majority of Sindulang Satu residents work as fishermen and traders with an income of 40-50 thousand rupiah/day. This reclamation development will also have an impact on coral reef habitats. In addition, fishing is also slowly destroying Manado’s marine life. One of the factors is the lack of insight of fishing community. Most of the population’s education is only up to elementary school level because there are only a few public junior high schools. Residents who can’t afford it have to drop out of school after elementary level.

Design Strategy 01. Hierarchy The layout of building function is considered based on density and water needs. 02. Skyline Building skyline adapts to the needs of morning sunlight and views from and to surroundings, such as: pelangi hill, reclamation, and Tondano river. 03. Entry and orientation Building mass is curved inward at entry points. Building orientation is facing the reclamation in consideration for accessibility and view.

04. Aerodynamic Rotating the module 45 degrees makes the tower texture jagged, improving aerodynamics and diffusing strong winds to be smoother and more comfortable for settlements on Pelangi Hill and offices on reclamation.

01. Commercial Commercial zone containing retails, sea-themed restaurants and various attractions play an important role in the turnover of building management costs, indirectly reducing the rental costs of local fishing community.

02. Fish Harvesting and Processing With an income of around 40,000-50,000 rupiah per day, the lives of local fishermen are not yet prosperous. Processed fish has a higher selling value than raw fish, so the income of fishermen can be increased in this way. This can also be a solution to the decreasing number of fish in Manado sea.
03. Coastal Ecology Education Lack of knowledge is one of the causes of low income because the fishermen only rely on culture that has been passed down from generation to generation. In addition, it is also important to teach children from fishing families from an early age the importance of the coastal and marine ecological environment.
25
04. Fishing Community Based Residential and Tourism Provide a cohabitation for evicted local fishing community due to New Development and reclamation planning. It also has potentialto introduce another side of Manado tourism besides the beauty of Bunaken sea, helping local residents to open up new potential income for their welfare.

Thematic implementation in the building is divided into two zones. Adjusting to its function, building’s podium is designed to have underwater nuance and the residential towers are designed to have tropical island nuance. The division of zones creates a variety of different and sequenced spatial experiences for visitors. Walking from ground floor to upper floor, visitors can feel as if they are swimming upwards towards the sea surface.

BACKGROUND Character, experience. and background culture difference varies one’s perception and understanding of space to each other. Humans activities and spatial experiences unconsciously determine the function and definition of the space itself which is used universally-place. The functions and the definition itself keeps evolving and changing overtime, creating new space perceptions due to human constantly-evolvingactivities. Human behaviour and space adapt in two directions. This phenomenon also happened at a drink stall located beside UNTAR, HAUS! HAUS! is very popular among students and office workers from nearby, empty space barely seen in front of the cashier. The student-friendly-price with a taste equivalent to a drink in a mall makes the consumers won’t give up crowding to the vehicle circulation area.

The ideas of this research is to raise the potential interactions between consumers and existing space while they are waiting and to try to come up with design ideas to manipulate the consumers’ queuing behavior in order to create comfort for other street users.

BACKGROUND Sitting in public area is an activity that shows the quality of human relationships in public places. Physical distancing during the New Normal is a form of adaptation to the Covid-19 pandemic. Sit and Safe explores the various possibilities of sitting in public places while maintaining health protocols. The spatial configuration of Sit and Safe started with the idea of how people can continue to follow the protocol but still maintain the quality of social interactions. The spatial configuration also considers the condition of potential users from individuals to groups.
BACKGROUND
“Last year, IPCC warned that we only have until/ 2030 to act in order to avoid the worst consequences of severe climate change.” Waterborne Dwelling is a water-wise design approach in creating a new way of living with 3 main ideas self-sustaining living, low-energy-on-water living, and communitybased living. Climate change has already impacted our lives, becoming a culture of living in highly-density urban areas. Periodic floods and sea-level rise seems to unconnect human, architecture, and nature. Yet it should bring us a new perspective to
