Fashion Archives and Museum of Shippensburg University
The Fashion Archives and Museum of Shippensburg University is a unique part of the university community. It provides great opportunities for the university and public alike. With a donation-driven collection of 15,000 items, the archives and museum provides: • Hands-on learning, volunteering and internship opportunities for students • Exhibits that highlight the beauty and design of historic fashions and textiles • A commitment to knowledge, appreciation and preservation of historic dress The collection consists of clothing and accessories from the eighteenth to the twentieth century. With a focus on Americans from the middle and working classes, all walks of life are represented.
