Owner’s Paul Keister and Hollie Stenson have successfully permitted and built this 1200 sqft per Floor Mixed Use Shipping Container Building ( 2 x Floors are Residence with a Car Park and Office Space on the ground floor ) in a Venice Beach California using 14 x Type 1A 40’ HC Shipping Containers. Designed by Peter Demaria the Building called “Green on Main” is proof that with intelligent preparation and a robust presentation getting Planning Approval for Container based Construction is possible even in Area’s that are notorious for being difficult with Permitting.
