MIHO MUSEUM BRIDGE ANALYSIS Indepth structural analysis of the Japanese bridge through 3-D model making and technical drawings. Research concerning the site analysis and stress conditions were applyed to the scale model.
SWAMP HUT ADDITION
The Swamp Hut, designed by Moskov Linn Architects, is very utilitarian. Each room is systematically located according to the function and need of the space. The sunken fire pit addition creates a new dimension to the existing axis, as it relocates the threshold entry into the structure. The pit exemplifies the embodiment of various architectural theories and concepts, such as the redesigned Primitive Hut model by Gottfried Semper and the Ancient Japanese Shou Sugi Ban burning technique.
PARASITIC ADDITION
This parasitic addition to our studio space was to serve as either a permanent or temporary space for the visiting architect of our choosing. I decided to design the addition for Salvador Dali, and allowed his surrealist art style to influence the overall aesthetic of the facade. The existing window frame system discretely melts into a very geometric form, which then drips down into a overhang, overlooking the by passers at the street level.

TRANSFORMATIONAL CONTEMPLATION SPACE Explored various concepts concerning the movement of different mediums through space. Influenced by Tadao Ando’s architecture. Created a chamber that allows the user to transform through existential embodiment.
LINE BECOMING REALITY
When one lets the hand wonder across the page, it produces unexpectedly beautiful creations which could not be produced otherwise. What were simple lines seem to come alive with ever stroke or dash. This exercise brought forth the existential qualities of drawing. We allowed them to come alive, and become 3-Dimentional bodies which seem to be placed in limbo between the two realms.
INHABITING A LABYRINTH
Explored unique material properties through creation of structural space that tested the limits of the medium. Created an inhabitable labyrinth like structure and used various techniques to render the interior of the created space.
