In this brochure, you will find many ways that you and your family can support the ministry of Camp Don Lee and touch the lives of the thousands of children, youth and adults who visit each year. The ministry of Camp Don Lee has impacted thousands of lives over its 70 years—lives like mine and yours. The ministry of Camp Don Lee has outgrown its existing Health Center, one of the original buildings at camp. The number of campers and staff and the complexity of health issues make a larger and updated facility necessary in order to provide care and space for sick campers and staff. In 2013, the Board of Directors of the NC United Methodist Camp & Retreat Ministries voted to name the new facility in honor of Anna Watson Blair, a long time camper, staff member, nurse volunteer and camper parent. You can help make this new center a reality with your gift. Gifts of $500 will have names listed in the facility. Gifts of $1000 or more can be listed with designations in honor or memory of a loved one. Gift of Recreation “This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118.24 Four square, basketball, GaGa ball, soccer, volleyball, nine square in the air, horseshoes, corn hole are all wonderful ways to spend time at camp. Help us provide quality outdoor recreation equipment to our summer campers, environmental education school groups and retreat guests. Gift of Three Balls: $60 (donor names painted on the ball rack) Gift of New Goals for Soccer and Basketball: $300 (small plate placed on goal in honor or memory of loved one)
Worship Arts “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Psalm 150:6 Worship is an integral part of the camp experience. Indoors or outside, music, technology, puppetry, dancing and lighting are all enhancements to the worship experience for children and youth. Your gift will allow for the purchase of additional instruments, technology, music and other items needed. Gift of Music or Technology: $300 (a small plate in memory or honor of loved one will be attached, when possible) Share of Worship Art Gift: $100
Gift of Camp “See, I am doing a new thing.” Isaiah 43.19 The Christian summer camp experience can be transformational in the life of a child or youth. Help provide funding for children who might otherwise not be able to attend camp with a gift to our campership fund. Full Campership for One Week of Camp: $795 Share of Campership: $25 and up
Gift of Water Recreation “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” Isaiah 43.2 Help people of all ages gain the exhilarating experience of water recreation through a gift of kayaks or sail sets for our Flying Scot boats. Don Lee’s ministry provides the unique offering of experiencing God’s creation through wind and water.
Sail Set: $1000 (names in honor or memory may be placed on sails)

Help Teach Creation Care “In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:10 Don Lee’s Environmental Education program hosts close to 6,000 students each year from across North Carolina, learning about the unique coastal habitats at our Neuse River location and the plants and animals that live here. In addition, students get experience with our educational animals that live with us in our Environmental Education Center. Gift of Animal Care: $75 Gift of Equipment for Experimental Creation Care and Understanding: $150 (Includes microscopes, seine nets, student waders, water quality kits)
Shoreline Stabilization “More than the sounds of many waters. Than the mighty breakers of the sea, The LORD on high is mighty.” Psalm 93.4 Don Lee’s high energy shoreline is a source of wonderful recreation and great beauty, but also needs careful care and protection. Installation of seawall has been made on the West side of camp and started moving east. The first section heading east beyond the pier has been installed, but more is needed. All gifts are welcome and gifts in the following amounts receive a brick or paver to go in our patio near the pier. Brick: $300 (3 lines of text, 14 characters and/or spaces per line) Paver: $1000 (6 lines of text, 17 characters and/or spaces per line)
