Class History Marc Daniele M. Lopez To the distinguished board of judges, honourable members of the board of trustees, respected teachers and personnel, 3rd years and 4th years, a pleasant evening to you all. Today, exactly 250 days have gone by since the start of this school year. Some of you here tonight may have stayed in Palm Crest for 250 days only. But for me, I have studied in my Alma Mater for 2440 days. I have witnessed the beginnings of our batch from the very first day up until now. That is why tonight, I bring you a complete recollection of the account of our class. This is a record of all those who have come and gone since 2004. This is the story of our batch from beginning to end. This is our past. Ladies and gentlemen, this is our history. It was the on the month of June, 2004 when Palm Crest first began. We were all but just 4th graders, finding our way around the school. Our class was then divided into 2 sections, the grade 4 quartz, and the grade 4 emerald. On the first day EVER, I clearly remember that we argued on who would sit where. Since it was the first day, many of us were ashamed to everyone else. And since it was the first day, those who belonged to that batch were considered pioneers of Palm Crest. Records show that the number of pioneer students in our class amounted to 29. Not a bad number! Among those first 29 was Raymon O. Mortega II. We used to call him 'Dik Dik'. Yeah, he was a great friend once you get to know him. And then there was Raphael 'Taptap' Remigio, the joker, the wild kid, and the 'taga-simuno'. He was best friends with an equally dynamic kid whom we all know as Chino dela Cruz. Chino was also a great basketball player, just like fellow pioneer, Michael Dazo. And, oh, do you guys remember Aldrin Matias? The boy who would do your project in exchange for a slice of pizza? Another pioneer worth mentioning is Yves Adrian Romulo, the tall guy. He towered over most of us, and had a big attitude to match. However, there was also Isaac Llapitan, another tall guy. Isaac was your ordinary mathematician with extraordinary flexibility. Another towering person who was a pioneer was Dean Darryl Villareal. He was a very friendly and dependable guy who, on more occasions than one, bought snacks for his friends in the canteen. One of these friends of his was Renz Angelo Barros, or as everyone knows, Chot. When asked what people had to say about him, the most number of responses say that he is a naughty, funny, and sweet guy. Another pioneer was Lloyd Melvin Lisondra. Some of us know him as Vinz. He became best buddies with Jeffrey Roy Urgel, yet another pioneer. Jeffrey was, and will always be, a tall, dark, and handsome guy. And of course, there was Aaron Nero B. Cubis, the chubby and funny boy who would often get high and noisy. Jude Ebora, another pioneer. His alias was 'Volta'. We know why, you don't have to. One more person who joined the pack of pioneers was Rudolf Dionne Saguibo. Look at him. Look him in the eyes. Observe. Isn't it as if he wants to say, 'size doesn't matter, and even if I'm small, I'll become king someday.' And who would forget about Rowell Marco Raganas and his catchphrase, 'Clark Kent, nice to meet you.' And then, there was Krystelle Ubando. Many of us here know her as 'Keisha'. She was the sweet little girl who had an almost perfect handwriting. And of course, another pioneer was Regina Mae Panergo, or Regine, or Reg, the smart and friendly leader. It is worth noting that she became friends with fellow pioneer, Mariah Katherine Ventura, the Little pretty girl. LITTLE PRETTY GIRL. Another girl joining the pack was the smart, beautiful, paper-white skinned, Danica Anne Matanguihan, who, just like Mariah, was as organized as a bee. And of course, there was Erise W. Ramirez., the cute and chubby girl who some say was a drama princess. Another girl who had a reputation as the scissors girl was also a pioneer, having the name Ciarra. After Ciarra, was Sara. Sara Rose Condenuevo . She was... well. Uhmm... she was small...and smart... and talented... and uhmm... What's the word. Oh, right. She was small. She was boyish, just like another fellow pioneer,

28Sptember12 PCIS INSIDE PAGES YB.indd 10

9/27/12 7:54 PM

Aimee Catapang, who was also petite. Yet another girl who was small in stature joined the group of pioneers. She was Jamila Basas, the girl who loved a good laugh and was always bubbly. And why would we forget about Ayana Mae Bellen, who used to love anime. Her inclination to anime helped her earn the friendshipof another. We all know her as Eunice Roque, the musically talented, extremely fluent in English and unique girl. No, she wasn't small, that's why she was unique. Oh, yeah. Kimberly Lago was also a part of the group of pioneers. During those days, she was the crush of the class. Another pioneer that made it to the history books was Paula Ilagan, the chubby crybaby. And of course, why would we forget about Eirene Marigrace Amolato. The next 2 years, a great number of students added to the force of our batch. These were JC Quirimit, the boy who never ran out of gas; Sheila Cagaoan, the girl who talked about religion; Rhea Mangaoang, the dancing girl; Corina Binondo, the young adult; Meldy Robles, your friend, my friend, a good friend; Edgar Avida, the boy who was too hot to handle; Mark Reuben Duldulao, Charmaine Dahug, and Jelyn. Then, we became 6th graders, ready to graduate from elementary and enter the life of a highschooler. In this year, 2006, we met more new faces. One of them was Charmaine Lozada, the talented, sweet, and chubby girl. We also saw the coming of another beauty Black beauty to be exact. Jayzelle Mari Pablico, or Asel as we call her, will forever be remembered by all of us here. The final addition to our batch during this year was in the person of RJ Ramos. Finally, we graduated, and soon we began our life as high schoolers. For the four years that we were in high school, we have witnessed the coming and going of many comrades. Through those years, we experienced the joy of making new friends and laughter when being with old ones. Within those years, our batch was joined by talented, cheerful, and wonderful individuals, thus making us known as a very promising and amazing batch. However, with the leaving of some of our classmates, the bond between thse that remained strengthened. Those new addition who have remained include the talented and extremely friendly Angelica Abarro whose charm has made her a great friend among many; the friendly, cheerful, and outgoing Dawn Marie Sapnu; Joy Ance Angsioco whose charisma could only be equalled by her height; the cool Lianne Ghada Torres; the funny and awkward-in-a-positive-way Eunice Anne Russel; Mark Anthony Inciong, the athletic leader who doesn't fail to impress; Jethro Tejano, the technologically inclined but still outgoing and upbeat person; the smart, funny, and friendly Abbygail Renz Benemerito; the quiet but surprisingly friendly and caring Camiile Benitez; the jolly Donna Nessa Macaraeg; the smart guy who is every girl's fantasy, Christofher Aquino; the equally superb in both athletics and academics, Justin Benedict Arrojado; the highly energetic and charismatic Eleazar Mark Cudia; the happy Sebastian Renz Javierto; the funny, friendly, and fantastic Earl Ricanor Amao; the hardworking and diligent Jan Carlo Dela Cruz; the immensely cute Ramon Carlo Martinez; Sylvester Aguirre and his charismatic and amazing personality; John Philipp Bahandi, the hunk with the heart of gold; the artistically talented Mary Joselle Buenfe; Joan Pauline Leary, the pretty, friendly, and great classmate; Mariella Giannine Magdame, the anime-tastic gal who is great with a pen; and Remelyn Roca, the quiet-type but friendly girl who explodes with talent in drawing. The others that remained from our elementary ventures include me, Jayzelle Mari Pablico, Mariah Katherine Ventura, Danica Anne Matanguihan, Charmaine Lozada, Erise Ramirez, Kimberly Lago, John Claude Quirimit, Rowell Marco Raganas, Dean Darryl Villareal, Renz Angelo Barros, Isaac Victor Llapitan, Rudolf Dionne Saguibo, and Jeffrey Roy Urgel. With these, we prospered and broke through the finish line in our road as high schoolers. As this will be the last year that any record of our history in Palm Crest will be recorded, we must always know how to treasure the lessons, experiences, and memories that we have obtained through the course of our stay in this school. From the day we take that first step into college to the day we take our last step from the graduating podium, this history is imprinted into every one of us, and let it be known that we belong to only one batch... the best batch...Batch 2011-2012!

Class Prophecy Javier Anson M. Santos One Saturday afternoon, after having a scrumptious meal in the canteen during break time, I felt extremely sleepy. Values Education was our next class. I had no choice but to take a short nap on my armchair. But that siesta I had was a good one because I had a very interesting dream. I just graduated from college. I decided to go on a vacation to Boracay with my friends and cousins. Night fell and we decided to go to a bar. As we were listening to a familiar live music, I looked at the name of the band and it’s a famous one. Guess what? The guitarists are Kuya Jeffrey, Ate Mariella, and Kuya Marco. What a great surprise to see them! I chatted a little with them and they told me that they were going to have their European tour next month. At the hotel, as I was preparing myself to bed, I left the TV on while brushing my teeth. I heard the commentator say “Go, Villareal for the three! Oh my gosh! It’s not a three but an ally-oop! Slamdunk by Llapitan!” To my astonishment, I immediately ran to the living room with the toothbrush stuck in my mouth just to watch the game of Kuya Darryl and Kuya Isaac playing for the LA Lakers. The next day, as I was going down the stairs, I spotted a man in black suit with a well-built body, who was observing the surroundings at the lobby. He looked very familiar, and I went near him. He suddenly asked me, “Any problems sir? I’m the manager, for any comments and suggestions, don’t hesitate to tell me”. I was surprised that it was Kuya Philip! We started talking about the good old days in PCIS and he decided to give me a tour around his hotel and the annex that was still under construction. When we reached the site, I saw a man with a helmet who looks familiar because of his jolly attitude. I suddenly remembered him doing the “SHEMBOT” during his Senior days at Palm Crest. Can you guess who he is? He is Kuya Ramon. Kuya Philip told me that Kuya Ramon was the engineer who is incharge of the construction. I bade them good bye for me to take a tour around the island. Walking along the beach, I noticed people crowding around a stage on the beach. From behind, I knew that the ladies on stage were celebrities. But as I came closer and my vision became clearer, I realized that they were models. My mouth was left opened when I saw that these ladies were Ate Asel, Ate Kim, Ate Eirene and Ate Gel! Wait! Ate Asel, Ate Kim, Ate Eirene and Ate Gel??? I guess after a long time of not seeing them, they had become professional models. At night time, there was a party by the beach. Some sang on stage, while others danced. But there was a special number to be given by a very famous female dance crew. I felt excited since they are famous as announced by the host. The music started, smoke came out and the light effects were awesome. I can already see their shadows, but when the spot light was turned on and focused on them, to my surprise, they were Ate Donna, Ate Rhea, Ate Erise, Ate Camille, Ate Chay, Ate Danica, Ate Ayana, and Ate Dawn. The crowd went wild while they performed. Everybody enjoyed their dance. I went back to the hotel to take a rest. Before going to bed, I decided to watch TV. Bubble Gang of GMA-7 was back on air! But Michael V has retired and is too old to crack and handle jokes. But he has a replacement, someone funnier, and cooler. He is Kuya Rudolf. I burst into laughter while watching him make jokes and gags. The next morning, it was time to fly back to Manila. I boarded the plane and sat down.

28Sptember12 PCIS INSIDE PAGES YB.indd 12

9/27/12 7:54 PM

As we were about to leave, the pilot said, “Dear passengers, this is Capt. Tejano, please fasten your seatbelt and remain seated.” When we were at the right altitude to remove our seatbelts, I asked the stewardess if I can talk to the pilot. I was allowed so I had a little chat with Kuya Jethro. When the plane landed and as I was leaving the airport, I accidentally bumped into someone. He and his companion were carrying a lot of bags. I hurriedly helped them and told myself that they look familiar. What a surprise! They are Kuya Baste and Ate Rem! And guess what? They told me that they are journalists and Kuya Baste is going for a tour in Europe while Ate Rem will be having an Asian tour for their articles. How I wish I could also have a chance to travel! After taking a rest at home, I decided to go for a walk in the city. I saw a swimming pool facility and got interested, so I entered it. From afar, I saw something moving fast in the swimming pool. I asked myself, “Is that a fish? But as I grew closer, I realized that, that something is Kuya Earl. He is a younger, shorter, and darker version of Michael Phelps. We exchanged stories, and he told me that he was training for the Olympics. I also decided to go for a swim. I went to SM Department store after a swim with Kuya Earl. I need to buy a stylish underwear. While the saleslady is looking for the underwear I’ve chosen, I looked at the walls of the store and it was full of enormous pictures of models. I stared at one picture and I realized that the male models wearing underwear are Kuya Renz, Kuya JC, Kuya Syl and Kuya Mark Cudia. I was really surprised. And what really amazed me is when I looked closer at the picture and read the words from the lower right corner, it said, “Photographed by Eunice Russel”, and under it, “Inciong Photo Studio”, and at the left corner, “Art and Design by Joselle Buenafe”. Wow! They are already professionals!” The next day, I felt very sick. I needed to go to a hospital. When I arrived there, the nurse told me that my doctor was on leave. So they recommended another doctor. I entered the room and read the name of the doctor on the table. It said, “Dr. Joan Pauline Leary”. “What? Dr. Leary? Ate Joan? My former schoolmate in Palm Crest? But wait, there’s more! Her nurse is Ate Joy?! I’m lucky to be one of their patients. They prescribed me with medications and even gave me a discount. I decided to take a rest for a week. I was lying in bed and watching the news at home when the newscaster announced that there is an on-going concert with more than 1 million viewers! It was a duet of Ate Mariah and Ate Lianne! Oh my God! They sure are famous. And guess what? Their pianist is Ate Eunice Roque and they were sponsored by JCDC Records. I felt curious about this JCDC Records. So I surfed the net and I discovered that it is owned by Kuya Jhay! Cool! The next news is about technology. It is about Apple’s latest gadget. And Kuya Chris is the developer of the new Apple iPhone 20! And for the business news, it is a very interesting one. The owner of SM, Henry Sy decided to give his ownership to his accountant, Marc Daniele Lopez. What? Kuya Daniele? Kuya Daniele is now the new owner of SM? What a surprise! I changed the channel since the next news is not really that important. The channel is now showing a political debate. It’s a debate between two parties represented by Justin Arrojado and Abbigail Benemerito. Wait a minute! Kuya Justin and Ate Abby have entered politics? I bet their reason is change. I watched them debate. But as they were debating, I was surprised with what Kuya Justin was saying. He shouted, “Anson, why are you sleeping? Is it time to sleep? Does that show good values?” I suddenly woke up and realized that it was Sir Arnold who was shouting at me.

Address of Thanks Marc Danzell M. Lopez - Grade VI First Honors Elementary Level

Our distinguished Guest of Honor and Speaker Mr. Iain Stirling, Members of the Board of Trustees; our School Administrator, Dr. Dominador Mangussad; our Chief of Administrative Services, Dr. Lagrimas Mangussad; Saudi Principal, Ms. Reem Al Anazi; Academic Chairman Ms. Jacqueline dela Cruz, members of the faculty; our dear teachers, our beloved parents; special guests, fellow members of the graduating class, friends, ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant afternoon.

I am humbled and honoured by this privilege given to me to speak on behalf of the Palm Crest International School Class of 2011 of their feelings, sentiments, and thoughts! This afternoon our long wish to finish grade school has finally come. This afternoon is our Graduation Day! In our midst is a ceremony that is not only a celebration but a special event to reminisce the lifelong memories we, the PCIS Batch 2011, have made together. Fellow graduates and friends, our journey through elementary school life started 6 years ago. We may not have attended the same pre-school and were not classmates until grade 6 but I am sure that each one of us remembers our very first day in school. Remember the day when our parents first dropped us off to school? Some of us then may not have wanted to let go of their parents, while some may have been so excited to meet new friends and explore our school, PCIS, which has become our second home and it's more than just a school for us. Our journey continued through the succeeding years. I am very sure that all of us have our own memories which we hold close to our hearts and make us smile when we think of them. Our journey was long and full of challenges; the road we took was bumpy and winding; we’ve had our share of laughter and tears; we’ve made friends along the way. Yet, because we were always there for each other, not only through good times but also through bad times, we’ve weathered it all. They say that the journey through life is one that nobody goes through alone. Whatever we may have, so far, accomplished we achieved only through the combination of our own personal drive and motivation and the love and support given by the people around us. Timely it is for us then, my fellow graduates, to acknowledge those who have been part of our success. We give our special thanks to our dearest teachers namely Tchr. Virgie Mateo who was my Nursery teacher, Tr. Mylene Dizon who was my math teacher from grades 1-3, Tr. Amy Braganza, my Science teacher in grade 3, Tr. Elvie Encina, my math teacher in grades 4 and 5, Tr. Hazle Caturza, my grades 4 and 5 English teacher and adviser, Tr. Monik Mendez, grades

Address of Thanks 4, 5 and 6 Filipino and English teacher Tr. Tess Aluzan, my favourite HEKASI teacher, Tr. Rochelle Alberca, my MAPE teacher, Tr. Charmelle Pazcoguin my PE and music teacher, Tr. Zakia Ahmed , my Arabic teacher, Tr. Megs de Vera, my computer teacher, Sir John Rubido, my Science teacher, Sir Arnold Cupo, my math teacher and finally, my adviser and English teacher, Teacher Jet Abejar, who has labored so much for all of us‌ We want you to know that all your time and effort were so much appreciated; to the PCIS administrators and staff – who have invested so much into all of us; to our dear friends and classmates - for the fun and the laughter we have shared; and to all the many equally significant others - for making our grade-school years so enjoyable and memorable! We thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts!!! Personally, I would like to convey my deepest gratitude to all those who have been instrumental in bringing me to where I am today. Most importantly and above all, I thank God for the blessings He has continuously showered upon me and my family. He has been my source of strength all the way, especially during the times when I felt helpless having to stand sleepless nights just to finish my assignments and projects. To my mom and dad, thank you for your unconditional love, constant encouragement, and abiding patience to make me a good person. I have become the person I am today because of you. I want you to know that I am truly blessed to have both of you for my parents. I am and will forever be grateful for the wonderful parents you are to me and for making me the kind of son that I am now. My sincerest thanks, too, my dear teachers, for your invaluable contribution to my success and accomplishments. Fellow graduates, we will carry with us the memories of the challenging journey we went through together with our classmates, friends, and even our teachers here at Palm Crest International School for the rest of our lives. This journey has taught us far more than just information from textbooks. It has taught us about life. This very journey has helped us build character and a sense of who we are. We all faced hardships, but we were able to overcome them all, together! And now, here we are once again, together. While I am so honoured to be graduating on top of our class, I am even more honoured to be graduating with such an admirable group of people, a group with enormous amounts of inherent potential, ambition, and so much passion for learning. It has been a pleasure going through a stage in my life with all of you!

Marc Daniele Mangussad Lopez

To our honourable guest speaker, Mr. Iain Sterling, members of the Board of Trustees, dignified and magnanimous Administrator, Dr. Dominador Mangussad, Chief of Administrative Affairs, Dr. Lagrimas Mangussad; Academic Chairman, Ms. Jacqueline Dela Cruz; Saudi Principal, Ms. Reem Al-Anazi; King Fahad International Stadium Chief Architect Salman Al-Namshan; teachers and staff, fellow graduates, a pleasant evening to you all. Life is a huge storm; a giant hurricane of mixed emotions; a typhoon of struggles, challenges, and obstacles. Once we get caught up in this storm, we can’t help but fly along its course. However, compared to the destructive force of nature uncontrollable by man, our life is a storm that we ourselves control. We are the control towers that decide what path our “storm” will take. Will it take the peaceful road while not causing destruction? Or will it take the path of a destructive typhoon, bringing chaos and pain to anyone caught in its trail? Just like a storm that has several phases, our life has numerous stages as well. Right now, we, the graduating students of the fourth year class, batch 2010-2011, are in the stage of our lives where we have to take our own paths, venture into the unknown all by ourselves, face the real world on our own. This is the time when we should be making bigger steps towards our future, reaching higher goals and working for them diligently. All those times in the past are all over now. Those times of playing with friends, fooling around in class, hanging out in the canteen, going out to malls with classmates; all those times are behind us now. Those were the initial stages of our growth, the first few phases of our storm. We may look back at those times, but storms never go back on their tracks. We must move on. Inasmuch as it is hard to let go of old habits, old pastimes, old friends, we must not be afraid of doing so. No, we are not abandoning them. We are not turning our backs on them. We are simply letting them free so they may do as they wish, and so that we too can do as our heart desires. Remember, a mother bird pushes her children off the nest not because she’s angry or she hates them. She did that in order for the hatchlings to learn how to fly. Graduates...And I mean 4th years and sixth graders, tonight we graduate from our respective levels into a higher one. But let me tell you this: we would not have done it alone. If not for them, we wouldn’t be graduating. I wouldn’t be graduating. YOU wouldn’t be graduating. And what better way of thanking them is there than to honor them this very special night? Ladies and gentlemen, I strongly believe in the saying that a good start is half the work done. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I also believe that our teachers, all of them, since our very first year up until now, gave us more than a good start, in fact, they’ve given us a great one. Let us thank our advisers who have guided and assisted us as we took our own undertakings in school. Of all our teachers, they were the ones who cared for us the most. They always made sure we walked the right paths, even making sure that we cleaned our classrooms in time for the next subject. Let us thank them for all they have done for us. I’d like to show my heartfelt appreciation to Teachers Hazle Caturza

28Sptember12 PCIS INSIDE PAGES YB.indd 57

9/27/12 7:59 PM

Marc Daniele Mangussad Lopez and Tess Aluzan who have been our advisers during our first year in Palm Crest as fourth graders as well as when we were fifth graders. Also, it is with great thankfulness that I give my gratitude to Teacher Jojit Abejar who was our beacon of light during our grade 6 days, guiding us and preparing us for life here in highschool. I also give my sincerest thanks to our advisers in highschool. Thank you ma’am Elen Lunaria for making our classes with you very lively, energetic, and interesting. And although she is not here, I definitely thank you Ma’am Czel Lacson for being a great teacher, adviser, and mother to us all. I would most especially like to express my deepest gratitude to our advisers who, although with us for just one year, have become very important people in our lives. They are the reason why we are graduating tonight. If not for their constant reprimands and teachings, we would not have passed through highschool and graduated. They should receive the most honour because of this. Let us not forget our other subject teachers. Teachers such as Sir Herbert Sto. Tomas, the ever fun, charismatic, and intelligent teacher who has spent 4 years of his life teaching us and creating unforgettable memories. I’d also like to thank Teacher Charmelle Pazcoguin who has shared with us her musical knowledge, Teacher Vilma Mogato, our funny TLE teacher who’s a pro in visual aids, Teacher Nomer Atienza and his very comprehensive and organized computer classes with us, Teacher Jun Jacob who worked tirelessly to imbue within us the spirit of a true sportsman, Teacher Arnold Cupo whose head was full of Mathematical expertise, and whose smile could never be erased. And also, Teacher Nelva Francial who, through her way of teaching, fired us all up. Thank you also, Ma’am Bing for your unending effort in imparting to us the secrets of Jose Rizal’s works. Of course, we must not forget to thank our old teachers as well, such as Teacher Monik Mendez, Teacher Rose Jose, Teacher Siony Fontiveros, even teacher Mila Saguibo and Teacher Me-ann Casquejo. To all our teachers, thank you for all the knowledge you have imparted to us. Thanks for tirelessly teaching us the tricks of your trade. If it weren’t for you, we would not have passed the entrance exams of the universities we wanted. Ladies and gentlemen, all of the hard works of our subject teachers need to be awarded with another round of applause. I, in behalf of the 4th year, would also like to give thanks to Palm Crest’s faculty and staff, who have shown much support in one way or another. Tonight, I would also like to mention the School Administrator and also, the Chief of Administrative Affairs, my grandparents, Dr. Dominador and Dr. Lagrimas Mangussad. Lola Ador and Lola Lagring. These 2 people have played a very important role in my life. The home is the first school of a child. It is in here that he first learns the different values that a good person should have. Here, the child is taught by his first teachers: his parents. And so I come to the conclusion that our parents are the most important people to us. I have been blessed with the best parents I could ever ask for: supportive, loving, caring, considerate, and wise, what else could I ask for? They provided me with the education I needed, and are the sole providers of my daily needs. I have seen how much they work for the sole purpose of providing me and my brothers a pleasing and suitable life. My mom cooks delicious food for us whilst managing her hectic schedule with her businesses. Most of the time, she is away from home, staying either in the school or in Red Carpet, but never fails in fulfilling her role as a loving and caring mother. My mom also taught me how to be a responsible person as well as other certain core values. Furthermore, it seems that I have acquired the genes of a genius from her. On the other hand, my dad never ceases to work in order to provide his family with sustenance. Just like a lamp, he provides our family with light, and just like a pastor, he leads us

to live a healthy and religious life. Together, my parents seem to have a lot of burden on their shoulders. However, they always find time to hang out with us and keep us together as a family. To my parents, I’d like both of you to know, that I really love you from the bottom of my heart, and that I am grateful for the things you have given me. My parents deserve much praise and gratitude for doing something that has changed my life forever: establishing Palm Crest International School. Truth be told, in the year 2002, I was then only in my 3rd grade, when Dad & Mom were in a dilemma of sending us home for schooling. It was because during that time, there was lack for high quality education from Filipino schools in Riyadh. There was also this instability among Filipino schools. One day they exist and flourish and the next day parents will be surprised to know that it was already taken over by another person or sponsor, maybe because they put up schools with wrong motives and objectives. Because of their big and caring heart, they decided to put up a new citadel of learning that provides only quality education. They did this not for business purposes, rather they established this school whilst keeping my welfare in mind. Mom & Dad, for all these, I salute your strong courage and determination to endure it all. And to all mothers and fathers here tonight, we did not stop believing in your words of wisdom that you imparted to us day by day, for the good values that have moulded us to where we are and to whatever we achieved today, and for the legacy you have given not only to us, your own children but most especially to ALL of US, the FILIPINO CHILDREN who wish for quality education. We all salute you Dad & Mom! I would also like to extend my love and gratitude not only to my parents but to the rest of my family as well. To my brother Danzell, I thank you for the great times we shared together. I hope that even though I will be leaving, you will not forget all the good values and lessons that you have learned. Moreover, I wish that in my absence, you will serve as a good role model to our younger brothers and that you take good care of them. And to my younger brothers, please don’t be a headache to your kuya and your parents. I’d also like to thank Tita Ning and Tita Joyce for all their support, guidance, and care. Indeed, my family has played an important role in my life, and it is something that I will treasure for the entirety of my life. Of course, I would also like to express my sincerest appreciation to Ate Leny who, for 4 years, took care of me and my brothers whilst looking after the house. Last but not least, I would like to thank my grandparents who have shared to me their wisdom and taught me how to be a responsible student. Personally, I’d like to mention my greatest friends who have known me all throughout and has been with me in the entirety of my journey. Jhay Dela Cruz, thanks for all the times you stood by me. Mariah Katherine Ventura, thank you for always holding me up despite my falling down. Jethro Tejano, thanks for being a friend whom I can relate to the most, and who can relate with me even more. Erise Ramirez, you have been a great bespren to me, and I’ll never forget you. Camille Benitez, I should’ve known that you were there for me, so I’ll also always be here for you. Justin Arrojado, I salute you for your amazing qualities, both of a friend and a rival. Eunice Rusell, you who always listened to my stories deserve a place in my heart. Earl Amao, though 2 years were all we spent together, 2 years was actually enough to let me know how good a friend you are. Donna Macaraeg, thank you for being a good inspiration for me ;). Joan Leary, I have always admired your simplicity and your fun stature in life. Jeffrey Urgel, thanks for being a great buddy, a funny friend, and a cool nigga. Gel Abarro, I’ll never forget

your laugh, your smile, and your good heart. Asel Pablico, though you may not remember it, thank you for teaching me how to let go. Chris Aquino, you are indeed a smart guy, but to me, you are also a great friend. Charmaine Lozada, I’ll never forget how caring a friend you were to me. To Ramon Martinez, you should know that I admire you a lot for you have surpassed me in ways that I was unwary of. Danica Matanguihan, you have been a great seatmate, classmate, and friend, but to me, you’ll always be more than that. Marco Raganas, my life would be a lot boring if not for you. Lianne Torres, I really wish I got to know you earlier, coz I just found out how great a friend you actually are. Mark Inciong, I’ll never let go of those memories we had since 1st year up until now. Mark Cudia, life without you is gonna be, bluer than blue. Dawn Marie Sapnu, you should know that you have been special to me just as much as my other special friends. Renz Abbygail Benemerito, I always liked your being smart and funny. And to all those who I haven’t mentioned, please know that there’s always a place for you in my heart. And for everything you have done, for everything you have been to me, I thank you guys for all of these. The one whom I’d like to thank the most is God. Definitely, without his guidance, without His will, I would not be over here. He is the one I should thank the most because it was He who gave me you, my teachers, my friends, and you, my parents. Thank You God. Thank You. You know what? Goodbye is not such a bad thing at all. In fact, every goodbye makes the next hello closer. Goodbye does not mean we won’t be seeing each other again. In fact, dictionaries define goodbye as seeing each other later. Furthermore, the key to learn to move on is first learning how to say goodbye. Don’t be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before we can meet again and meeting again, after moments or a lifetime, is certain for those who are friends. Moreover, there is a reason why it’s called commencement exercises. It’s not the end, it’s the beginning.

And so, with a heavy heart full of memories, teachings, and love from all of you people, I say this because I know we will meet again. Au revoir Palm Crest, adieu teachers and parents, goodbye Francuponians.

I always knew this day would come We’d be standing one by one With our future in our hands So many dreams so many plans Always knew after all these years There’d be laughter there’d be tears But never thought that I’d walk away With so much joy but so much pain And it’s so hard to say goodbye But yesterday’s gone we gotta keep moving on I’m so thankful for the moments so glad I got to know ya The times that we had I’ll keep like a photograph And hold you in my heart forever I’ll always remember you Nananananana Another chapter in the book can’t go but you can look And there we are on every page Memories I’ll always save Up ahead on the open doors ?Who knows what we’re heading towards I wish you love I wish you luck For you the world just opens up But it’s hard to say goodbye Yesterday’s gone we gotta keep moving on I’m so thankful for the moments so glad I got to know ya The times that we had I’ll keep like a photograph And hold you in my heart forever I’ll always remember you Every day that we had all the good all the bad I’ll keep them here inside All the times that we shared every place everywhere You touched my life Yeah one day we’ll look back we’ll smile and we’ll laugh But right now we just cry Cause it’s so hard to say goodbye Yesterday’s gone we gotta keep moving on I’m so thankful for the moments so glad I got to know ya The times we had I’ll keep like a photograph And hold you in my heart forever I’ll always remember you Nananananana I’ll always remember you I’ll always remember you

Memories Enough Lyrics & Music by: Mr. Hector Ayonon Here I am, as I am trying hard to find and think of ways How would be when we are? All alone those strangest paths unknown When I’d rather brings you close, by my side .Where I’d rather be, to keep myself… as me But see me now, as I am For tomorrow I’ll might change to be What I’m not as I’m now but to rather I would have to be There I’ll have you by my side, as long as our time will tell That you’ll always be and sure a part of me Refrain 1 But I’ll have memories enough to go alone my path I’ll have memories enough to keep you in my heart To bring back all the love we know and have them once again )I’ll have… memories enough (intro Look and see… here we are Through the years we’ve grown and reached this far And to think that we were just your child held by your loving care See me now… I’m shining through; I’ll fly on my wings up high .I’ll reach the skies, and see those stars, to guide me back to you Refrain 2 And I’ll have memories enough to help me make it through I’ll have memories enough to see our dreams come true I’ll have much to think of you and all you wish me be I’ll have memories enough Coda Thank you for the time… you’re always there for me And sorry for the time that I don’t care …I’ve know what life is made of, when I’ll miss you And so I don’t want to see, and I don’t like to miss .For this time to go by, without telling you these words again and again …That I’ll have memories And I’ll have memories enough
