Introduction The exhibition base as planned, located in the main shaft line of the Caiwan District, Zhangpu New City, Zhangzhou city, is the center of the whole district, enjoying the beautiful coastline. The design, aiming at building a city stage to activate the district, with implantation of reading function, taking the planning of the large model as the core, has made use of the double helix space model to enable the exhibition and reading space to be intensively shared and mutually independent, so that extends the energy time of the district and solve the problem of limited opening hours and single function.

Urban Complex Undergaduate program Academic course design Indvidual work in the 4th Grade Project year: 2015

Introduction Located in Jimei District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, the baseis built on a rectangular plot, bordering on the main roads of thecity on the south where at the center lies elevated lanes specially designed for BRT, Road of City on the east and Jia Geng Stadium on the west. The previous bus stations inside the base serve as the road traffic system to connect the BRT. As the core plot in Jimei District, it's designed to build a urban complex on the base in combination with the BRT bus station.

05

1. After ground analysis, the buildings are dividedinto three blocks.

Visiable connection analysis

2. A bridge, provided to communicate the pedestrian traffic on east and west sides, runs through the three buildings and becomes a space that organizes the intercommunication of the buildings.

Angular step depth

3. The middle building, a transfer island by design, has bus stations distributed around it and is designed in such a way that traffic below the bridge is uninterrupted.

4. An above-the-ground corridor connects BRT station with the middle-sized commercial complex in the west side, rendering the complex into an extension of the central streets and greatly promoting the accessibility of the core area.

Red Ribbon Undergaduate program Graduation design Indvidual work in the 5th Grade Project year: 2016

Introduction The base lies in the Flower alley of Licheng district of Quanzhou prefecture in Fujian province . From the macro level, the Quanzhou is located in the outlet of jinjiang coast, possessing the inborn advantage pf sea and river. The Flower alley is located in the core area of licheng district in Quanzhou downtown, owning a excellent culture deposits and historical sediment. Near the base, there are relatively mature cultural creative town such as Yuanhetang and Huaqiao residential area. All of them are reform cases of modern architecture which, however, fail to stand for the historical thread. Thanks to less artificial destruction , most part of the Flower Alley are reserved completely which is able to display the most indigenous facet of Quanzhou after the reformation of west street area. 08

Streets In the Sky Gaduate program ARCH 702 Advanced Graduate Architecture Design- Themes Team work in the 1st semester Project year: 2017 Team members: Tianyi Shi, Fenghua Xie, Mingming Guo

Introduction Koreatown in Los Angeles is an ethnic enclave where the majority of businesses are Korean, the majority of the population is Hispanic, and the politics is mainly controlled by Whites and Blacks. In Koreatown, Korean is predominant in that the town is named “Korea and the streets are mostly covered with business signs written in Korean. However, the town cannot be said to form part of the Korean nation due to its physical location in the United States. In this sense, Koreatown is representative of a kind of transnational borderline between the United States and Korea. The transnational borderline reminds Korean-Americans and others that the United States cannot exist without heterogeneous elements within it. 12
