INTRODUCTI INTRODUCTION Exhibition design can be limited to a single display or can be expressed in immersive, architecturally integrated environments. With the rapid onboarding of technology in the public domain, Exhibition design is increasingly media-driven, social, and democratized, with content generated not just by designers and curators, but also by users themselves. NIFT, Kangra (Fashion Technology department) will organize for the first time the 'TechTrie Fair' during the orientation program of the batch 20-24.
The Fashion Technology department aims to form a link between customers and design in the apparel manufacturing sector involving diverse job profiles. The course curriculum focuses on various essential streams including quality management, data analytics, internet of things, pattern making, retail technology management, garment construction, web development, artificial intelligence, etc. The department helps maintain a balance between design elements and the fundamentals of management. It provides detailed knowledge of various fiber to fabric processing techniques and machinery involved in apparel manufacturing. All in all, it imparts essential skills and practical knowledge necessary to move up the ladder in the competitive world as well as expertise associated with future job profiles such as Quality controller, Product development manager, Merchandiser, etc.

NIFT, Kangra will organize for the first time the 'TechTrie Fair' during the orientation program of the batch 20-24. The domino effect of technological progression says that for a technology to succeed, there must be other technologies already adopted that create the perfect conditions for it. For a domino to fall, all previous dominoes must be lined up perfect distances away from one another and must have fallen. Likewise in the Fashion Technology department, this effect can be observed over a variety of processes that are chronological and predetermined in nature. The TT Fair will offer students, parents, and industry personnel an overview of the department in a visual and interactive manner. It will focuse on the gradual progression of garment and textile manufacturing over the years. The latest and most effective technology and innovation in action will also be an integral part. It will facilitate contact and interaction among students as well as industry experts. The Fair is designed to be an immersive space to promote best-emerging technologies in garment manufacturing. It will reinforce the importance of developing and disseminating appropriate technology. Exhibition USP: The aim is to demonstrate a variety of innovative, unique, efficient, and effective technologies. Apart from the phygital exhibition displays - there will be an expert lecture on scope and job prospects. In addition, installation art will be presented at a central location involving a demonstration of the link between nature and technology.
CONCEPT NOTE
WHY TEC WHY TECHTRIE?
The name of this exhibition derives its inspiration from the vocabulary of the field of Computer Science. Trie, also known as digital or prefix trie is a data structure that stores unique values. This structure has nodes which resemble the roots of a tree, bifurcating into successive results. In simple terms, this data structure is synonymous to a chain reaction. The operation of one node triggers a series of results. It is quick, successive and consequential. Finding several similarities in a Trie structure and the phenomenon of the Domino Effect in terms of both cause and effect, it seemed to be a fitting term for what the exhibition aimed to convey. It also sits aptly as computers have become an indispensable part of Fashion Technology. Computers and technology as a whole have been extremely influential in turning this field into the dynamic industry it is today.
LOGO LOGO
The final design opts for a simple and legible font, something that is versatile, can be read from afar and is easy on the eye. To accentuate the theme, the “i” in Trie is multiplied and shown falling successively. It is a chain reaction, central to both the idea of a Trie Structure and the theme of Domino Effect. They are in the colours of yellow, red and blue- the primary colours. Primary colours are known for their interdependence and harmony amongst each other. They are substantial and important in the world of design and art. Additionally they have also been used to represent each stage in the progression of Fashion Technology.
Wordmark

Monogram
The TechTrie wordmark is an important expression of our brand identity. It is of the color black or white with a contrasting black or white background since both these colors are an indispensable part of technology. It should in no way be distorted or redrawn when applied to communications. Because the wordmark is such a recognizable and highly visible asset, it is vital that it is always applied consistently.
Monogram Our monogram consists of powerful element invoking our concept. It is a primary visual element that identifies us.
TYPOGR TYPOGRAPHY
THINKING WITH TYPE Typography plays an important role in communicating an overall tone and quality. Careful use of typography reinforces our personality and ensures clarity and harmony in all TechTrie's communications. We have selected MS PGothic, which helps inject energy and enthusiasm into the entire TechTrie's communications. MS PGothic is our exhibition typeface. It is simple, clean and legible that compliments our logo. It should be used in all instances where typography is required.
REGULAR BOLD
COLOR P COLOR PALETTE
Black and white are the dominant colors of the exhibition. They represent the domino tiles that were traditionally black or white with contrasting black or white pips. In resemblance with a kind of carnival costume worn during the Venetian Carnival, often consisting of a black-hooded robe and a white mask. Black has been used to denote ‘intelligence’ in the field of technology while White has been used to denote ‘creativity’, it represents the whole technology department which is the integration of various other departments. It also unites other departments by creating a link between technology and design. The yellow represents the unprocessed cloth in the stage of pre-industrialization. Red has been used to denote the phase of industrialization where tools like sewing machines and scales were extensively used. The markings on such tools were often prominently red. Lastly blue has been used to lend a feeling of futurism, a realm into which Fashion Technology is diving into in the modern times. Hence, they were incorporated into the final layout with each colour corresponding to a specific stage of the exhibition.

FACADE FACADE
Facade is the ambivalent and transitional medium that operates as a threshold between the inside and outside, producing perceptions of welcome or authority and linkage or barrier.
MAIN ENTRANCE The exhibition begins with a single entrance represented by the three successive domino-like structures portraying a sense of progression and sequence in accordance with the technology department. They are composed of recycled stainless steel mesh, the mesh structure will assist in providing vertical and lateral resistance to wind and other actions. Dimensions: First structure – Second structure Third structure –
42 ft. x 21 ft. 46 ft. x 23 ft. 50 ft. x 25 ft.
The main entrance will be followed by a pavilion space, it separates the main entrance with the hall entrance.
Marquee: The logo of the exhibition will be displayed at the left side of the pavilion at ground level over a platform (1 feet in height) in MS PGothic font (2 feet in height and 18 feet in length).
HALL ENTRANCE The exhibit hall begins with a black and white yarn creel structure portraying the evident use of yarn creels in textile manufacturing. The yarn creel structure also adds an intricate design element, which enhances its attractiveness. The hall has a parallel entrance and exit. Dimensions: 26 ft. x 40 ft.

MULTI-S MULTI-SENSORY
Our experience of the world involves several senses, including sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. These senses are not isolated from one another. They work together, providing a robust and coherent awareness of our environment. The primary aim is to create events focused on these five senses while creating a more abstract sense of well-being, stability, and togetherness. This will be achieved by the means of special sound and visuals associated with the concept, the smell and touch of fabrics/smart textiles displayed throughout the exhibition, flavored water provided at the beginning, and an eatery in the pavilion.
