Police Raid At Jaya TV’s Alleged Partner's Office In TN Unfruitful
VV Minerals has made a public statement announcing that the police raided their premise and seized some of their awards and certificates without any official warrant as such.
Police carried out the raid on the factory premises of VV Minerals India which is a heavy mineral mining company based in Tamil Nadu.
This came at a time when s Vaikundarajan is facing charges of illegal mining of heavy minerals such as monazite and thorium, in Tirunelveli district.
Police reasoned that the seizure was brought in effect as they would like to analyse the seized goods. However, they remained mum on the lack of legal paperwork in the process of the raid.
The police team was not just opposed by the company authorities but even employees owing to the lack of motive behind the raid.
Previously, the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court had posed questions about the exports done by VV Minerals and whether they were applicable in atomic energy production.
The court had also asked the police for proof regarding the company’s alleged illegal heavy mineral export. The police was also to check whether the sand really contained thorium in the first place.
VV Minerals has confirmed that they export sand only for extraction of garnet and other such minerals. They even went on to say that are being harassing by the police because of a new baseless allegation that S Vaikundarajan a mining baron is a Jaya TV partner.
