Shore Line Erosion Is As Natural As A Fruit Falling Off A Tree Says VV Mineral Vaikundarajan
The shore line erosion observed in Tuticorin district of Tamil Nadu has raised several worries. In the wake of the alleged illegal beach sand mining scam that is pinning everything on the mining industry giant VV Minerals; is now also presumptuously being held responsible for the eroding shore line.
VV Mineral has been active in the mining industry for over 20 years and has been an unprecedented forerunner.
The mining company giant and its humble, down-to-earth owner have now been brought under the scanner and held responsible for the alleged illegal beach mining scam that has been “exposed”.
However, Vaikundarajan – the whole and soul of VV Mineral is of a different opinion and is making repeated efforts to prove his innocence in the matter.
He has already challenged the Central Government’s decision to cancel VV Mineral’s licenses and is awaiting a positive outcome for the same.
As for the shoreline erosion on the coasts of Tuticorin, he says, “There are various reasons that can cause shoreline erosion and only one of them is mining. Shore line erosion is as natural as a fruit falling off a tree.”
“Weathering, fishing, settlements, mining, population explosion, construction and changes in tectonics can all be held responsible for shoreline erosion”
He is confident that blaming VV Mineral and Vaikundarajan for the shoreline erosion in Tuticorin is just another way for his rivals to attack the reputation of the company and the man behind it. However, Vaikundarajan remains positive that VV Mineral’s mining activities will begin in full-swing soon enough. V.V.
