A novel hybrid approach for the design of stilling basin to counter the downstream local scour (funded by SERB, DST, Govt. of India)
The objective of the project involves modification of the stilling basin design by following aspect.
Increase the stability of the stilling basin under high flood conditions. Enhancement of turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate. Scour reduction at the downstream of the stilling basin.

Summary: The study addresses concerns regarding road safety on horizontal curves, which are prone to more fatal crashes compared to straight road segments. Using ArcGIS, curves with various radii and fatal crash clusters were identified in Delhi. Reliability theory was then applied to assess existing curve safety and predict failure probabilities. Results indicate 34 high-risk curves based on crash density and road geometry parameters. Longer curves improve safety based on

but have low thermal comfort as outdoor temperatures in Malaysia may reach up to 31°C, impacting comfort levels. Most schools used unsustainable strategies, such as sunshades and fans, to enhance the courtyard’s thermal comfort. This study will propose a bioclimate integrated building configuration to improve the thermal comfort of the courtyard.
