Fill half a tall glass with ice and add three slices of feijoa.
2 shots cloudy apple juice

SINGAPORE
This fruity, sweet, classically tropical cocktail was first invented by a bartender at a famous hotel in Singapore to appeal to the British visitors who were looking for a tropical drink that ladies could palette, too. This one can also be a calorie killer! We cut out the sugar, cut back on Grenadine and added soda water instead of lemon-lime soda.
1 shot gin 1/2 shot Cointreau 1 dash Grenadine 1 splash soda water 1 shot pineapple juice
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add gin, Cointreau, pineapple juice, lime juice and Grenadine. Shake until well chilled, about 30 seconds. Strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Top up with soda water and enjoy (preferably by a pool somewhere).
1/2 a lime, juiced Ice

RUSSIA
This drink has Moscow in the name so you know there’ll be vodka. Perfect over ice, this cocktail has no added sugar and we’ve even replaced the ginger ale with grated ginger and soda water, which tastes even better.
1 shot vodka
Combine vodka and grated ginger in a cocktail shaker
1 shot soda water
with ice. Shake for 20 seconds. Fill a short glass with
1/4 tsp grated ginger
ice. Strain mixture into glass. Top up with soda water.
1 slice lime
Garnish with a slice of lime.

GREECE
This liquorice-flavoured classic Greek spirit is a perfect drink to enjoy poolside on hot summer days. When mixed with water or ice, this clear spirit turns a milky white because of the anise extract in the liquor. Don’t feel too guilty, there are no sugary mixers whatsoever.
1 shot Ouzo Ice
Fill rocks glass with ice. Pour Ouzo over ice, stir and sip alongside mezĂŠthes.

ITALY
Any cocktail that gets its start because a patron wanted a stronger drink gets an A+ in our book. The patron, Count Camillo Negroni asked the bartender to add gin rather than the normal soda water to his Americano. For this healthier variation we cut back a bit on the booze. Sorry, but it’s still a deliciously potent drink!
1 shot gin 1/2 shot Campari 1/2 shot Sweet Vermouth 1 slice orange
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine Gin, Campari and Vermouth. Shake until chilled, about 30 seconds. Serve in a Martini glass garnished with an orange slice, or in a short glass over ice.

ENGLAND
With a London flair — curry powder and classic English gin — this drink is the perfect way to celebrate the summer. This healthier alternative uses fresh veggies and the curry powder can also have some health benefits from its high levels of the antioxidant Curcumin.
1 shot gin
In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle capsicum
1/3 shot Simple Syrup
slices. Add the other ingredients with ice and shake for
1 shot pineapple juice
about 20 seconds. Fill a jar or short glass with ice.

FRANCE
Liqueur made from blackcurrant purée. Need we say more? Plus, the name makes us feel super fancy. Using a little less Crème de Cassis also cuts back a bit on calories so you can feel guilt-free.
3/4 cup Champagne 1/2 shot Crème de Cassis 1 lemon slice
Pour the Crème de Cassis into the bottom of a wine or Champagne glass, followed by the Champagne. Garnish with the lemon slice.

SPAIN
Think of this as an easier, less labour-intensive Sangria. The name translates to “red wine of Summer”, so you know it’s perfect for summer cocktail parties! This drink is a much healthier version of the classic Sangria for a few reasons — no added sugar, no added liquor and no sugary fruit (citrus only).
3/4 cup Spanish red wine Soda water 1 lemon, juiced
Combine the juice from the lemon and lime and the wine in the glass with ice. Top with soda water and give it a stir. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
1 lime, juiced 1 lemon wedge Ice

USA
This a classic American Cocktail, perfect for cocktail parties and Gatsby dress-ups! Be cautious though, the alcohol content in this one is generally much higher than the standard tall glasses, due to the small amount of mixer. There wasn’t really a way to make the classic Long Island Iced Tea healthy, however we’ve cut down on the sugar and replaced standard cola for diet cola.
3/4 shot vodka
In a cocktail mixer full of ice, combine vodka, gin, rum,
3/4 shot gin
triple sec and tequila. Add orange juice and cola. Shake
3/4 shot rum
vigorously for 20 seconds. Strain into a long glass filled
3/4 shot triple sec liqueur
with ice, and imagine your on Long Island.
3/4 shot tequila 2 tsp orange juice 1 1/2 shots diet cola Ice

MEXICO
This is like a lighter, pinker, slightly sweeter Margarita. Plus it’s actually more popular in Mexico than the classic Margarita, especially in the Southern regions — and they must know their own drinks best, right? Made even better with a low-sugar grapefruit juice and soda water, you can feel pretty guilt-free about this one.
1 shot white tequila 1/2 shot lime juice 4 shots pink grapefruit juice
Combine tequila, lime juice, pink grapefruit juice and salt in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 20–30 seconds. Pour into a margarita glass and top with soda water.
1 shot soda water Pinch of salt Ice

BRAZIL
First thing’s first: It’s not a Caipirinha without Cachaça, a sweet Brazilian rum-like liquor made from sugar cane juice. This traditional spirit was most likely first produced back in the 1500s when sugar cane was introduced to the region. Our healthy twist cuts back on the sugar a bit, but other than that, this one’s a pretty simple healthier option regardless.
1 shot Cachaça 1 tsp Turbinado Sugar 2 lime wedges Soda water (optional)
In the bottom of a glass, muddle the lime wedges and sugar until well mixed — about 20 seconds. Add ice, Cachaça and soda water. Give it a quick stir and enjoy.

PERU
This classic Peruvian cocktail can be found on the menus of many a trendy American cocktail bar, featuring the gold crown of any fancy vintage cocktail: egg whites. The other key to this drink? Pisco, Peruvian brandy-like liquor made from grapes. As per usual, we’ve cut back on the sugar a bit, and the protein from the egg white is another great healthy addition.
2 shots Pisco
Combine ingredients in cocktail shaker. Fill with ice.
1 lime, juiced
Shake for 20–30 seconds. Strain into glass and enjoy
1 tsp sugar
the frothy treat!
