CATAGORIES DIGITAL INK AND WATERCOLORS MUSIC BLACKROCK’S BAR IS A HOME CONVERTED INTO A BAR IN MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN. IT HAS A SMALL TOWN HOMEY FEELING, HOOKS ALL OVER THE CEILING ARE FILLED WITH BEER MUGS. THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE PACE IS THEIR BEER, BLACKROCKS BEER, BUT FOR ME, BECAUSE I DON’T DRINK, IS THE STAGE.

BOULDER LIBRARY PARK EARLY RENDITION BOULDER LIBRARY PARK
BOULDER, COLORADO ON A COLD DAY WITH A BRIGHT SUN I FOUND RESPITE NEAR WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS PAST THE PUBLIC LIBRARY. A FEW DAYS PRIOR I VISITED ART PARTS, A RECYCLING ARTISTS CENTER, AND PICKED UP THE PAPER AND PENCILS I USED TO MAKE THIS PAINTING. ON THE DAY OF THE DRAWING, I ALSO STOPPED BY TWO HANDS, THE PAPER STORE ON THE WEST END OF PEARL STREET, AND FOUND SOME METALLIC PENCILS AND A SMALL METALLIC TUB OF WATERCOLORS. THAT TUB MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THE FINAL PIECE.
IN THE EVENING I VISITED SOME DEAR FRIENDS, SEAN AND MELISSA MCGHIE. THEY WERE WORKING ON SCHOOL HOMEWORK AND GETTING READY FOR DINNER. IN APPRECIATION, I LEFT THE FINISHED PAINTING WITH THEM. IT IS A SMALL JEWEL.
