Guide to Finding November 2017 Events in the Metro Where You’ll Enjoy With the preparation for Christmas coming along, November is set to be one of the busiest months of the year. Adding to the busyness are Philippine tradeshows, expos, and exhibits all around Manila, from the World Trade Center to SMX Convention Center. For some early Christmas shopping, there’s Mommy Mundo Expo Mom Holiday 2017 and the Noel Bazaar, and for some breather from the Yuletide planning there are events like Komikon, Before I Do, and the like. Check them out below.

1. Expo Mom Holiday When: November 10-12 Where: Glorietta Activity Center Price: Entrance is free


Expo Mom was first launched in 2008 to cater to babies’ and mommies’ needs. Being a mother is a hard journey, and this is why Mommy Mundo created a series of events to gather moms and help them make motherhood easier and happier. The culminating event for the year is Expo Mom Holiday 2017, which promises to showcase creative items that can be useful for the holiday season. Visitors can test up and coming products and Mommy Mundo Passport holders can avail freebies from sponsors. How to get to Glorietta Activity Center: Ride the MRT and drop off at Ayala Station. Walk towards SM Makati as it is interconnected with Glorietta.

2. Komikon 2017 When: November 11 to 12 Where: Bayanihan Center, Unilab Compound, Kapitolyo Price: PhP150 for a two-day pass


This will be Komikon’s 13th year. Talented Filipino comic book artists will get together under one roof in Komikon, the oldest comic book convention in the country. The event gathers established and amateur comic artists alike, as well as comic book fans. Those who dream of extending their skills in making comics can also learn from the masters through seminars. One of the widely-acclaimed comic artists who is expected to attend this year is Kikomachine creator, Manix Abrera. Tickets are available at Comic Odyssey Robinsons Galleria branch. How to get to Unilab Compound: Ride the MRT Line 3 and get off at Shaw Boulevard Station. Walk down towards Shaw Boulevard. Ride a jeep going to Pasig and get off at Tropical Hut. 3. Noel Bazaar When: November 16-19, 24-30 Where: World Trade Center, Pasay City Price: PhP100 Free entrance for children ages seven and below


Noel Bazaar started 16 years ago. Those who still haven’t done any early Christmas shopping might find the Noel Bazaar a helpful event to attend as the bazaar offers a wide selection of gift items. In addition to this, the event extends its hand to several foundations such as GMA Kapuso Foundation, Philippine Daily Inquirer Foundation, Noel Gozon Memorial Foundation, Bantayog ng mga Bayan Foundation, and Lingkod Kapuso. Tickets are available at the event. How to get to World Trade Center : Ride the LRT-1 and get off at Gil Puyat Station. Ride a shuttle going to SM Mall of Asia. Ask the driver to drop you off at World Trade Center.

4. 14th International Feng Shui Convention When: November 18-19 Where: Marco Polo, Ortigas Price: PhP10,961.95*

The International Feng Shui Convention was launched in 2004. Through the influence of Chinese culture, many Filipinos believe that feng shui can improve their luck and fortune. For those who are interested in this practice, there would be a two-day conference focusing on the practice of feng shui as an art and metaphysical science. Feng shui masters and experts would share various techniques and proper knowledge about this ancient art. Registration is available at the International Feng Shui Convention website. How to get to Marco Polo, Ortigas: Ride the MRT to Shaw Boulevard Station. From EDSA corner Shaw, ride a jeep with an “Antipolo/Cainta� signboard. 5. The 17th Grand Wine Experience

The theme for this year is “Degustation� which means the careful tasting and appreciating of food. Wines are not only associated with fine dining but also with art, especially when considering the process of producing them. This principle leads wine collectors, makers, and enthusiasts gather to the Grand Wine Experience. The event celebrates and pays tribute to the vast spectrum of exquisite flavors from different parts of the world. How to get to Manila Marriott Hotel : Ride the MRT and get off at Taft Avenue Station. Go down the north bound side of the station and turn left to the passageway beside McDonald’s. Look for the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal (NAIA) 3 loop shuttle public commuter bus and ride it to Resorts World. Manila Marriott Hotel is located inside.

7. 11th Manila Auto Salon When: November 30 to December 3, 2017 Where: SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia Price: PhP150

The Manila Auto Salon can inspire those who want to renovate their cars.


For years, the Manila Auto Salon has become the venue for auto modifiers and enthusiasts to come together and bond over their love of cars. The annual show exhibits diverse products that could enhance, accessorize, restore, customize, and restyle any vehicle. Also present at the event are custom cars and sports trucks in full display. Manufacturers, distributors, and dealers from the automotive industry are also present in the event. Tickets are available at SM tickets outlets and SM tickets website.
