Buehler Named Student Of The Month

The Ephrata Lions Club recently honored Nathan Buehler as their February Student of the Month. Nate is in the 11th grade at Ephrata High School (EHS). He is a member of the following clubs at EHS: Rifle, Golf, Tennis, Robotics, Leos, NHS and Science NHS. Outside of his school activities, Nate volunteers at Ephrata Area Social Services, where he helps with the food bank, and he is also a Boy Scout and has helped with Denver Fair parking and cleaning up around the Schoeneck Fire Hall. If he isn’t busy enough, he works parttime at the Smithton Inn.

Supernatural Motivation Part 1

Scripture: Colossians 3:23, 24 “Whatever you do… do it heartily as to the Lord not man. Knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of inheritance for you serve the Lord Christ.”
Our conduct:
We are instructed that in whatever (anything and everything) we do to do it heartily (with your whole being). This verse brings new meaning to some of the daily mundane tasks we do. Why? Because everything we do can be of eternal value, bringing glory to the Lord. It’s the everyday grind that seems so ordinary, but if we do all things for the Lord our new motivation changes the task to an act of worship. Life in Christ was never meant to be a Sunday occurrence only. New life in Christ should effect every waking moment of our life… whatever we do… it’s NOT just about Sunday. Our life shouldn’t be spiritual on Sunday and secular through the week. Every task can be an opportunity to worship if our motivation is as Colossians 3:17 states:
“whatever you do… do all in the name of the Lord giving thanks to the God through Him.” How we perform is important… heartily is a
