HMS School Kits For Ukrainians In Need
The Science Explorers after school program
Denver encourages students to get excited about science, and it certainly delivered with this to experiment with both exothermic and endothermic reactions. The
Galaxy Greta and Jet Stream Jill led the class, which culminated with this unexpected expanding foam volcano.
This year Hinkletown Mennonite School (HMS) is dedicated to spreading love and warmth to children, even if they live all the way in Ukraine! For the 2022 Valentine’s Giving Project, HMS families donated brand new school supplies as gifts to Ukrainian students through Mennonite Central Committee’s school kit program. Ashlyn Kanagy, a seventh grade student at Hinkletown, organized her fellow students to put the kits together, totaling 101 full donated kits, along with additional supplies. The annual Valentine’s Giving project helps HMS students to connect to children and families in need.
