The Ephrata Mounts Boys Volleyball team will be hosting a special night for all students who currently attend the Ephrata Intermediate School and Ephrata Middle School, on Thursday, April 20. Free admission will be offered

Every Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Stories, songs and fingerplays, followed by an easy craft and free play. Bring along your 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten packets to help achieve your goal! For toddlers with an adult. Thursdays, April 20, 27.

• Almost Perfect Crimes

– Tuesday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. Join Miss Jess as they discover to all students who show proper school ID as well as free admission for two parents/guardians. to JV, and 7:00 p.m. for Varsity. Games are played at the Ephrata Middle School Gym.

Students will be offered a free hot dog and drink. An activity will be offered at the end of the game. The game times are 6:00 p.m.

• Easter Egg Search – All April. Check out a book that has a beautiful paper egg inside and get a piece of candy at the circulation desk. (Ages 2-15) together

• Farm I SPY Window Game – Stop in at the library to “spy with your little eye” all the fun things on the window. List of items changes weekly. When you finish, come inside to receive your congratulatory sticker. Also, be sure to read the story on the window next to the outside ramp. Tell the staff the answer to the question for a prize.

“Whodunit!” Upon registration, you will receive the Zoom link and the Mini Murder Mystery Story. Additional clues and evidence will be revealed during the meeting as they try to solve the crime together. For ages teen/ adult due to some graphic content.

Michael Beiler, Ronks; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Melvin, husband of Rebecca Beiler, Gordonville; and two sisters: Lydia Ann Beiler, Gordonville, and Naomi Beiler, Paradise.

Judith M. “Judy” Eriksen, 67, Lititz, passed away on Monday, April 10.

She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Roddey Fake, Manheim; a brother,

Daniel L., husband of Cheryl Montgomery, Charlotte, North Carolina; and two sisters: Josie M. Ruhl, Manheim, and Lori A. Montgomery, Manheim.

Michiko Green, 93, Narvon, passed away on Monday, April 10.

She was the wife of the late William D. Green.

She is survived by two sons: Douglas W., husband of Lori A. Green, Drumore, and Mark W. Green, Orlando, Florida; four daughters: Patricia A., wife of Michael Logue, New Hope; Carol M. Wallace, Narvon; Jeanette L., wife of Brian Graybill, Lancaster; and Cynthia G. Eberly, Brownstown; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two brothers:

Michio Yasaka, and Masame Yasaka, Japan.

She was preceded in death by a son, James B. Green.

Patricia L. Spare, 74, wife of Todd Spare, Maple Farm Nursing Home, Akron, passed away on Monday, April 10.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons: Scott Alboum, husband of Kim, North Carolina, and Jeff Alboum, husband of Maggie, Lancaster; three sisters: Judy Wylie, Maine; Kris Johnson, Georgia; and Kimberly Dawson, Virginia; and stepfather, Robert Koenig, Georgia.

World War II

Oral History Club

The World War II Oral History Club is meeting at a new venue: VFW Post 2435 in Columbia, on Tuesday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m. Charles Brooking, a PT Boat Gunner in the Pacific will be the guest speaker. He enlisted in the Navy when he was 17, with his father’s permission and saw combat duty near the Solomon Islands and Guadalcanal.

During WWII, the now 96-year-old Bloomsburg resident manned twin .50 caliber machine guns on PT223, PT-619, PT-621, and PT-617. He served two years active/combat service and later eight years in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Come join them as Charles shares his very interesting story.

The World War II Oral History Club is now meeting at The VFW Post 2435 (401 Manor Street, Columbia) on the last Tuesday of the month (except in December). All World War II Veterans and family, and anyone with an interest in WWII history are invited to attend. Anyone who is a WWII Veteran, has a family member, or friend who would like to share their WWII experiences at one of their meetings, they would like to hear from you.
